A tearful request for thoughts and prayers.

He won't get any from Lefties. They hate praying and thinking.

The father of a four-year-old boy who was struck by a motorcycle in the city’s east-end on Sunday says his son is still fighting for his life in the intensive care unit at Sick Kids Hospital.

Ruhul Chowdhury says his son Radiul has not yet regained consciousness but there is still hope that he will survive.

“His brain is damaged. He has (a) broken elbow, broken shoulder, broken legs. But doctors are not worried about those things right now. They are worried about his brain. His brain is really damaged,” he said.

The four-year-old was walking with family in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Adair Road at around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday when he went onto the roadway and was struck by a northbound motorcycle.

Police told CP24 that the motorcyclist stopped briefly and a female passenger got off the bike. She fled the area on foot and the motorcyclist then took off, police said.

All the people that have had their faces bitten off by a bear and survived should be the ones to give the parents a 'quality of life' statement. The kid 'flew the coop' as soon as he lost the ability to wake himself up. The only ones in pain are the parents and that is what they are trying to avoid, their own pain and they will apparently put their kid through hell to see that never happens and sooner than it 'has to'.

You're an ignorant shit.

That said, thoughts and prayers are fine to give to people.

It's when you think that's ALL that should be done about a situation that is the issue.

But as someone who has no empathy, I don't expect you to get that.

Thoughts and prayers. Two of the most useless things you can "give". Yep, they sure worked after the first terror attack in Europe. And the 2nd, and the 3rd, and the...well you get my drift.

And boy, they sure work after there's a mass shooting in the US, particularly when it's a school.

That's not saying I have no sympathy or empathy for them, but thoughts and prayers? Might as well send positive vibes too.

Long-Awaited Medical Study Questions the Power of Prayer
2006

Prayers offered by strangers had no effect on the recovery of people who were undergoing heart surgery, a large and long-awaited study has found.

And patients who knew they were being prayed for had a higher rate of post-operative complications like abnormal heart rhythms, perhaps because of the expectations the prayers created, the researchers suggested.

Because it is the most scientifically rigorous investigation of whether prayer can heal illness, the study, begun almost a decade ago and involving more than 1,800 patients, has for years been the subject of speculation.

Well, the boy won't have the problem listed here unless the prayers were to actually work...

Well, personally, I don't see how prayers have (or will) hurt. If one wants to pray for the recovery of a loved one, who am I to say whether or not it will be successful. If it makes the "prayor" and/or the "prayee" feel better, who cares? No skin off my back!
