The term that Kavanaugh used in his yearbook "boofing" stirs a memory for me.
Years ago I left a note for my wife on the kitchen table and wrote, "Catch ya for a boff later". Of course I meant a sexual encounter.
Anyhoo...my elderly mother comes over for a visit and reads the note I had left on the table. (I forgot to remove it prior to her visit). And my old Mom says, "What does boff mean??"
My faced turned ocher but I spectacularly regrouped and said, "Oh. That just means we'll meet later for a coffee. Starbucks has a new coffee called The Boff latte!
It was a close call, but Mom bought it!
