I'm not sure why Trump was knocking himself out defending this guy. The job should be apolitical anyway.
Trump us knocking himself out defending this guy because he's Trump's choice for the job and, by the way, Trump is bonkers and it's all about HIM.

Because he was the only one on record who said the President couldn't be subpoenaed or indicted. The only one.

Kavanaugh wasn't even on the list the Federalist Society (a group of conservative-to-right-wing lawyers and judges) provided, and from which Trump has worked in appointing judges.

Connect the dots.

Now that the Dems have a few more days granted to them I’m sure they’ll find that Kavanaugh is hiding Lindbergh’s baby and he was on the grassy knoll.

Another thing that struck me. It was like the 36 years had all just melted away during each of their testimonies.

Dr.Ford looked like a frightened 15 year old girl...and Kavanaugh acted like he was 17 and being unfairly grounded by Dad who was taking away the keys to the car for the weekend.

I don't care who did what. Kavanaugh has publically demonstrated that he is not impartial enough for the position that has been recommended for. He has failed the job interview, regardless of what he/she said.

Giving more ammunition for the GOP to confirm him

Kavanuagh lied during his testimony. The woman he claims "refuted" Ms Ford's account begs to differ.

New: Leland Keyser’s lawyer tells Judiciary she will cooperate with FBI. Reiterates she doesn’t remember the party or know Kavanaugh, and adds: “Notably, Ms. Keyser does not refute Dr. Ford's account, and she has already told the press that she believes Dr. Ford's account.“

1,673 people are talking about this

Her only ally in this is saying she doesn't remember this happening, pretty much sinking her claim

But then of course Kavanaugh is a lawyer and everyone knows all lawyers are greedy pigs .I really wonder how any of them can be confirmed .

Hell hath no fury like an entitled white man denied

“I’m so sick of white entitlement,” said a friend at dinner recently. It took me aback because of who was saying it. Like me, on the spectrum of African American activism, the friend swings more Martin Luther King Jr. than Malcolm X. And it surprised me, because the comment voiced a frustration whose grip has tightened around me of late.
Displays of white entitlement have been around us since before the founding of the republic (see: slavery and the Trail of Tears). But since the election of President Trump, said exhibitions of privilege have been more brazen. “BBQ Becky,” “Permit Patty” and “ID Adam” joined other absurd situations in which living while black was questioned by whites. And then there’s the case of Botham Shem Jean, a black man killed in his own apartment by a now-fired off-duty Dallas police officer.
That’s why Thursday’s wretched display of white (male) entitlement was especially galling. I can understand why Brett M. Kavanaugh erupted with anger. It was the lack of humility and decorum and contrition that canceled any human emotion I could have had for him as he fought back tears during the hearing over his imperiled Supreme Court nomination.
