The Catholic Conference, headed by Timothy Cardinal Dolan, has used Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker, Patricia Lynch & Associates, Hank Sheinkopf, and Mark Behan Communications to lobby against the Child Victims Act as well as for or against other measures.
All told, the conference spent more than $2.1 million on lobbying from 2007 through the end of 2015, state records show. That does not include the conference's own internal lobbying team.

One of every ten priests ordained in 1970 was charged as a pedophile by 2002. (And God only knows how many Christian Brothers sexually abused kids within their Catholic school systems.) World governments should be shutting down all Catholic Charities and churches because they are Pedophile Terrorists, much in the same way as it was done with Muslims.

I would HOPE so......Isn't the RCC supposed to b a n example of moral standards.?? The rate of abuse in a religious grop should be ZERO. If they maintained the standards they preach. Mind you , like any closed cult......religious organisations provide a medium for misconduct to fester.
Or at least the rate of the religious group's leaders being accessories before, during, and after the fact to child molestation should be zero.

The horror stories are legend. The hide the offending priest game is also old. BUT lets hope this renewed fervor to deal with these deviates and predators is serious and they do actually do something about this continuing problem. My guess? With the shortage of priests they will slowly sweep it under the rug again.

The pope's response was, basically "If you read the letter I think you'll find it speaks for itself." From what I've read it's basically a homophobic screed denouncing homosexuals and suspected homosexuals and their evil practices and crimes.
