Hi! Twin Moose

I thought that is what Russia is expected to do with Crimea? (Return the territory to Ukraine proper.)
After WWII, and when the UN was set up, it became illegal to take lands by means of war. This would mean that Israel is only entitled to the borders established in 1948, and I have no problem at all with that.

I have no problem at all with an Israeli State located exactly where it is. It was given to the Jewish Folks as payback to the Rothschiild's for their financial support of the WWI and WWII war effort. Britain would of had no chance without this financial help.

My complaint is that Israel has expanded the borders of the lands granted to them via the Balfour Declaration. Israel should return to the pre-1967 borders. And Palestinians should be allowed to return to their homes which they once owned.

If they did that, they'd be signing their own death warrant. It'll never happen (at least I hope not). They're not that stupid!!

I like the mindset of "we must either condemn Israel's very existence, or bawl our support for every single thing it does at the top of our lungs."

Should all territory be returned that was obtained by military means? That would change the maps across the whole world

Puts me in a boat in the middle of the Atlantic ...

It would also boot the Arabs out of half of the Middle East (including Palestine) and all of North Africa.

So which way should Korea go to make it 1 Korea? Should South Africa be returned to Britain?

My guess on Crimea will be it returned to Ukraine on the condition a referendum held to determine it's own fate

Hi! Twin Moose

South Africa gained its independence from Britain in 1910 or so. And thus is not a very good example to use as it was in existence prior to the formation of the United Nations after WWII.

North and South Korea are well able to choose their futures themselves.

Under International Law, the State of Israel was given designated borders by the United Nations. Any other lands occupied by military force were/are illegal under International Law. This would include the Golan Heights as well.

Wasn't the land expropriated and the owners killed and kicked off their land a few years ago against UN wishes? North and South Korean border was set by a condition of war and is still in dispute so who is the owner North or South Korea?
