I doubt she'll be getting an apology.

Nah... just a sticker many of us have and out on our cars. It looks just like my avatar.

I've seen them before. It's like site stickers to show off who for and where you've worked on hard hats but military guys stick them on vehicles.

Gee, if she was mexican and illegal they would have taken her in and given her a US drivers license so she could vote democrat too.
;)
This is all about discriminating against a low dollar country white tourist who may have been a christian conservative.
(obviously she didn't try the cleavage bounce)

Me too. She did a fantastic job.

I can only imagine being pulled over in Canada and only having a photo of my passport on my phone. GTFO!
If you were pulled over in Canada, you wouldn't have some brain dead, donut snarfing bimbo telling you your US licence isn't valid in the province you got pulled over in.
This was nothing but a shakedown, and it happens fairly regularly to Canadian and out of state drivers. Years ago a buddy of mine was driving through Detroit on I-75 and got a ticket for doing the speed limit. All the other traffic was passing him yet he got a ticket for impeding the flow of traffic. A couple of years later I got a ticket in Minneapolis/St.Paul for speeding, even though I was going with the flow of traffic which was doing about 70-75mph.
And that's what some of them good ol' boys (and girls) do down there. They single out out-of-state drivers and then target them. Unfortunately, the really bad apples also use it as an opportunity for a shakedown.
Pretty f*cking sad when people are literally being robbed by cops down there.

Thank you. I had missed that.

How did she even get into the US of A without an actual passport?
If you drive across the border you don't need a passport, unless things changed very recently. I've never taken my passport with me when I drove across the border. Never needed it.

You are supposed to have your passport. I believe that even if you have a Nexus card, you still need to carry your passport.

No, you do not. Right from the US CPB website.
Canadian citizens traveling to the U.S. by land or sea are required to present one of the travel documents listed below, and may generally visit the U.S. for up to six months. CBP will accept: Canadian passport, Enhanced Driver's License/Enhanced Identification Card, NEXUS, FAST/EXPRES and SENTRI enrollment cards.
Any ONE of those is acceptable. If any one of those are good enough for US CPB to let you into the country, then they are good enough for some donut snarfer from Podunkville, Georgia.

Everybody 16 and over needs one now to cross.
You only need a passport if you fly to the US on a flight that hasn't been pre-cleared by US CBP in Canada. Otherwise a NEXUS card is good.
The "everyone 16 and over" is referring to Canadian citizens who are still children but older than 15 and in that case, they require a passport. So basically, 16-18 yr olds are required to have a passport to gain entry into the US regardless of their mode of travel.

I don't know the rules of Nexus, I haven't bothered with that particular tax grab, but if you are crossing the border by car normally, as most do, and you are over 16 (any number of years over) you need a passport. Period.

because police in Georgia are not capable of using the "computer" to verify your identity.

Sure is. You also need a passport... which is what the officer was looking for.

Well that is what the Canadian driver was saying and if you saw her snapchat she seemed a little off.

I drove across the border last summer and my passport was the first thing the Canadian guard asked me for.

Yup.
