There are always exceptions. But exceptions are simply that. If aberrations are more plentiful then they are not the aberrations any longer.

Hair colour, for example, depends upon a small change in the genetic code in the Kit Ligand gene - one single letter, to be exact.
And since no letter works on it's own without others to turn them on or off or to work in conjunction with it, the variation could be what is needed for a cure to some disease.
That is why every DNA sequence known and available will become extremely important of the future of mankind. Even animal and plant DNA is extremely valuable. The ant or bush that goes extinct could be the one that hold the cure to cancer or some other disease.

How about people, like myself, have blonde hair as a kid, but when they become adults the hair has turned very dark? What up with that ?
That seems pretty common, I was fair as a kid but now I'm blacker than the ace of spades.
Its not the skin colour- its the idiot politics! Colin Powell- former chairman of the joint chiefs of staff- the most powerful military man in Untied States was a tough guy and a smart one as well- he had to be to get the rank he won by being the right guy in the right place and his abilities were recognized since he was invited by powerful people to run for the office of president long before Obama appeared. Sadly Powell declined the offer- he might have been a great president- solid, reliable and logical! Probably he was too good a man for the job- sadly lacking in the two faced hypocrisy and skill at dissembling that a modern politician must be adept at!
By comparison Louis Farakhan and Al Sharpton are shrill, white baiting, fascist demagogues who are rightfully scorned by main stream Yankee society!

That we've learned how to control our fertility sure doesn't mean that the "white race" is dying. It means that we're a bit ahead of the curve. If the other "races" don't follow (and the Chinese are, finally) we may all die out.
Control of our national fertility would include those in the nation reproducing enough to sustain itself. No?

In a country of immigrants, which .. "race" are we supposed to sustain? "Pur Laine" isn't really that pur.
My comment spoke of countries, not races, but I can say whatever race, if any, a country wishes to think of itself as.
Jamaica comes to mind. I don't know, but if they see themselves as a race, you will know that they consist of people from black to white.

With the way we bastardize language these days, you might be right.
I just picket this up when looking up the word.
There are now five categories for data on race:
- 1) American Indian or Alaska Native.
- 2) Asian.
- 3) Black or African American.
- 4) Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.
- 5) White.
I am not sure if the Black in # 3 means Black Africans but will read it that way.
