People are leaving the Trump White House in record numbers

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump is breaking records! Just not in a good way.

More than one in three Trump administration staffers have left the White House in its first year, a pace that far eclipses the rate of departures in the previous five White Houses, according to a study done by Kathryn Dunn Tenpas of the Brookings Institute.
The pace of resignations, firings and other assorted departures from the Trump White House is twice what it was in George W. Bush's first year as president and triple that of Barack Obama's first year in office.

And, it's not just any sorts of departures; a large number of Trump's senior-most staff have left in the first year alone. Writes Dunn Tenpas:

"Six of the 12 Tier One positions saw turnover (Reince Priebus, chief of staff; Katie Walsh, deputy chief of staff; Sean Spicer, press secretary; George Sifakis, assistant to the president and director of the Office of Public Liaison; Michael Flynn, national security adviser, and KT McFarland, deputy national security adviser). By comparison, Obama lost one adviser from Tier One (Greg Craig, White House counsel), and George W. Bush did not see any turnover in these high-level positions."

And her paper came out in mid-January -- meaning that Dunn Tenpas missed a number of more recent departures, including former staff secretary Rob Porter; Rachel Brand, the third-ranking official in the Justice Department; and speechwriter David Sorensen, all of whom left in the last week.

When you are starting from scratch you are bound to get some that are not useful. Smart move is to dump them rather than keep a C level team.

That's good news. The opportunists and political hacks are leaving. Those truly dedicated to Trump's major platforms of economic nationalism and revitalization are hanging around for the most part. Good riddance Gary Cohn.. have a nice life.

If you want a administration mired in stagnation and convention, like those of Barak or George W., you'll find a minimum of staff turnover. Everyone will have retired into their postions and spend their time polishing their resumes for lucrative careers in corporate lobbying after its term ends.

Perhaps he doesn't' mind all these departures...........as he can then consolidate power into a very few with him as head TYRANT. No one can deny that he has a strong autocratic bent to his "style of governing" He seldom if ever expresses any regret over any of the departures. He does not seem to be in a hurry to replace those that have left. In fact he has not filled all the positions he was supposed to when he took office. His line about slimming down the gov't is a tactic with questionable motives.

The only person who ever "gets" and gives himself " credit for any achievements .......is HIM. With the occasional nod to someone else as if in passing.

Furthermore......he LOVES chaos and confusion...... and there is a reason for that. It is harder to examine what he is really up to. A couple of recent examples: Announcing the Tariffs in that "surprise " style. Announcing that he will meet with kin. The usual discussions with staff and advisers don't take place until after the fact of his announcements. As he said: he loves keeping others off balance. By doing it this way..... he avoids a lot of discussion and disagreements that might happen BEFORE making his decisions He would rather deal with the fall out after the fact.........and via Twitter........condemning anyone that disagrees with him.

He simply does not care about the turnover and the staff losses........ let alone how it affects
them (the staff )

FASCINATING psychopathy. quite Tyrannical.

Good drain the swamp baby .
and replace them with what?? Trump yes men/women?? (robots that only regurgitate his simpleton pharisees.)

Or not replace them at all.........and then the tyrant wannabe can consolidate power ...

Might not be a bad idea........ as that would give the US population a taste of what a tyrannical leader can do. (experience it firs than) Then they can isolate themselves the same way NK does.

just sayin'

ExxonMobil has its own mini state department and Rex was using the expertise there rather than the U.S. State Department diplomatic folks. That Is why Rex was in no hurry to fill the many vacancies at the State Department.
There must of been a lot of resentment and jealousy within the State Department and they would be happy to see him go.

He did a wonderful job.

Not a single nuclear doomsday during his tenure.

Outstanding.
