The politicization of the Parkland school shooting continued on Wednesday as right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh used the tragedy to attack women.
Ever since the tragedy in Florida last week, conservatives have been desperately trying to blame anything for the shooting except the AR-15 assault weapon that Nikolas Cruz was easily able to buy legally.
Limbaugh chose strong independent women as his target to blame.
After a caller who thinks women staying home with children instead of sending them off to school and having a career of their own is how America should be, Limbaugh attack women, and then doubled down on the attack. He suggested that men are picking up guns and shooting people because women aren’t making it easy enough for men to have sex with them.

no black teacher is going to carry a gun into a school in Texas - or pretty much anywhere else.

that won't happen.

Cop cars have computers just like you do which can provide an images of the staff before they get there.

Get with the times.

By the time that the Cops have run a "make" on the computer, one incident is finished. This last one was three minutes in duration. you'd better walk around with, not only your computer booted up already but be on the right page of the right program "just in case there is a shooter" because it would take around three minutes to do all of that.

That picture of the shooter will arrive just after the news crew does.

There have been 18 US school shootings this year. Is it time to arm teachers? - BBC News

It seems to be a conflict between the right to bear arms and the necessity of bearing arms. How do we define freedom? In Canada, I might enjoy less freedom to bear arms, but also more freedom to choose to not bear arms.

It would seem that in the US, extreme freedom to bear arms also forces those who might rather not bear arms to do so anyway. What kind of freedom is that?

With the exception of VERY, VERY, VERY few teachers that is about the stupidest f**king idea I've come across yet. No. one they already have a job that requires their undivided attention. No. two teachers are about the most impractical people on the planet! I've just dropped Trump's rating from 10 to 9.5!

Mass shootings happen at McDonalds too.

Obviously the burger flippers need to be armed.

And ushers in theaters.

Should pretty much everyone be armed at all times?

Is that not the ultimate expression of the 2nd ?

Is that not the society all Americans are striving towards?

Riiiiight. It takes seconds for your photo and any warrants to automatically pop up when a cop car scans your license plate when casually patrolling in traffic but a school staff profile can't be fired off by dispatch?
