Social media is merely another form of advertising- some good and informative and some merely crap designed to suck you in. The major problem is with the politically motivated LIARS- mostly on the left of the political spectrum that are splashing their socialist anti white anti democracy fake news all over the web.
Blaming social media for foolish public choices is like blaming GM for drunk drivers!
The lesser problem is that too many people now lack the education to choose between fake news and reality! I have already posted atricles illustrating how few \black kids actually have the skill to work at a high school graduate level- and this is killing their job hopes and blighting their future! In their rage and ignorance and frustration they foolishly blame white "racists" for THEIR troubles!

Principal accused of literacy test tampering sign of larger problem: Experts

A former high school principal is facing charges of professional misconduct after being accused of tampering with Ontario’s literacy test.
The Ontario College of Teachers said it conducted an investigation and found that some students were called back to the school to complete parts of the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test in March 2016 after it was supposed to be concluded.
Christine Vellinga, who was then a principal with the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, is accused of reviewing test booklets to find incomplete tests, and telling certain staff members to do the same.
(And why would the tests be incomplete? Because the kids do not read well enough to finish in the allotted time period! This is NOT a new problem! In his book Freakonomics, economist Stephen Levitt details his experiences from 1996 as he struggled to sort out cheats from honest teachers in a first real test of academic standards in the Chicago school system. Levitt devised methods of identifying teachers who had falsified test results- with the result that in the first year of testing over 25 percent of all the kids had to re-do the tests- to produce HONEST results and 25 percent of teachers were strongly cautioned about their behaviour and another 5 percent were outright FIRED for cheating on class academic standards!)
A notice of a disciplinary committee hearing from the college alleges Vellinga called 21 students back to school to complete portions of the test they had missed, directing them to specific parts of the booklet — and asked the acting vice-principal to do the same.
The college didn’t name the school Vellinga worked at, but noted that she has since been demoted to a vice-principal and was suspended without pay for 20 days.
Vellinga is also accused of not ensuring that students were properly supervised while in possession of the test and allegedly telling one student, “you were never here.”
(“The students were not properly supervised” during the testing process- and this suggests that the kids might have been encouraged to share answers and etc in order to get a higher score?)
(IT is an open secret that the number of Ontari-owe kids designated as having “learning disabilities” that conveniently disqualify them from having to display their unhappy ignorance on an Ontari-owe literacy test is SOARING as educators struggle to hide how bad things are getting!)
She is expected to appear before a disciplinary committee later this month. Her lawyer did not respond to a request for comment.
Also accused in the case are the acting vice-principal, as well as a teacher who allegedly helped determine which students had not completed the tests. Andrew Burke, the acting vice-principal, was suspended by the school board without pay for 10 days, and Gregory Quinn was suspended for five days. Dates for their disciplinary hearings have not been announced.
(The leftist Toronto tabloid Now Magazine printed a number of letters- written about 15 years ago- apparently from Yankee teachers dealing with the US school testing system and explaining how THEY cheated! Yankee tests were done late in the school year and then younger teachers- the ones still low on the pay scale and wanting extra money would be hired to “mark” the tests- and mark they did! Letter writers to the magazine claimed they were not closely supervised while doing the marking and they often changed answers for the kids benefit or simply marked a certain number of answers as correct regardless of the truth!)
Representatives for the school board and lawyers for Burke and Quinn did not respond to requests for comment.
One piece of a ‘data tapestry’
The Education Quality and Accountability Office, which creates and administers the test, conducted an investigation into the alleged tampering, and found that it did in fact happen. As a result, it withheld the school’s results of that year’s tests from its reports.
The EQAO says the results of the tests are used to produce annual school board reports and to track children’s progress throughout their schooling.
Steven Reid, EQAO’s Chief Assessment Officer, said the test results are one piece of a “data tapestry,” woven together with information from different sources to evaluate school performance. He said EQAO data shouldn’t be taken alone as a marker of a school or school board’s success or failure.
But some experts say Vellinga’s case highlights a broader problem with how administrators see the role of EQAO tests.
Administrators ‘feeling pressure to be great’
(Pressure to be GREAT? HAHAHAHA!!!!! Teachers are feeling the pressure to make sure kids actually DO learn something in school! Teachers are feeling the pressure to HIDE how badly some kids are doing because LIE-berals do not wish to admit that a few bad apples can drag an entire class down with their disruptions! Teachers are feeling the pressure to hide just how many kids come to school with attitudes that dictate that learning anything means “selling out to white society”! Teachers are feeling pressure to hide just how many kids don’t get enough to eat in our tax mad and debt crippled economy! Teachers are feeling the pressure to hide the reality that our “child centred learning system” with its focus on building the kids ego rather than ensuring facility with language and math has not been exposed as a fraud! Teachers are feeling the pressure to HIDE the reality that “learning by rote”- meaning dull but effective memory work is the ONLY way to ensure good basic math, grammar and spelling skills!)
“Unfortunately, sometimes, depending on the school board or superintendent or even a principal, they’re feeling pressure to be great in terms of what the results are,” said Charles Pascal, a professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto and a former chair of the EQAO.
(Unfortunately- sometimes due to the presence of radical reverse racists groups- bad parenting is blamed on poor teachers with the result that LIE-berals are trying to “dumb down” the curriculum to enure that more kids APPEAR to be succeeding in school! This is one reason why Toronto District School Board is discussing the abolition of “programs for gifted kids” as they do NOT want people making unhappy comparisons about wildly differing academic performance between classes and between schools and between different ethnic groups!)
“Sometimes because of leadership and how the purpose of the testing is conveyed, people and individual teachers feel a pressure that they shouldn’t be feeling.”
Some of the pressure could come from the fact that EQAO results are made public, Pascal suggested.
(If the test results are NOT made public then they are USELESS! The EQAO standardized testing was implemented to protect parents and kids from lazy and unscrupulous teachers more interested in their Hog gravy than in the kids dumped in their care- some teachers view our kids as cash cows to be MILKED!)
He noted that EQAO results are often used by real estate agents in advertising different neighbourhoods, which puts great pressure on schools to perform well.
It is natural, however, that school administrators would want to do well on the tests, said Don Klinger, a professor of education at Queen’s University who has worked as a consultant and on various panels for the EQAO.
“We should be striving to do the best for our teachers and for our students that we work with,” he said. “There’s different ways of tipping the scale in your favour. Some are legitimate — one’s called ’good teaching.”’
(“Good teaching” is more likely to make an appearance if militant unions get shoved out of schools, if burned out teachers get sidelined, if learning by rote is restored to respectable status rather than letting kids fart around with calculators that ensure they do not learn math basics, if LIE-beral immigration policy is tightened up to ensure that people with hopeless language or learning problems are not allowed to come here- at this time I think of convicted 2 time killer Rohan Ranger who came here at age 12 from an English speaking country- yet was illiterate in his native tongue and was STILL illiterate when he dropped out of school at age 16 and began his “career’ as a drug dealer and eventual KILLER!)
I don't know about making us stupider but I definitely think it's making us unhappier. Much more procrastination and comparing selves to others takes place on Social Media (especially for millennials)

Not just in schools. It happens all the time in industry particularly with safety programs. Watch a film, do a quiz and presto you are qualified to operate a piece of machinery or climb around with out killing your self. And if you fail(die) the company is not at fault because they "trained" you and even tested your knowledge so it was all your fault you died.
It is not social media that is making us unhappy. Rather it is the total FAILURE of all LIE-beral policy that is making us miserable! They have taxed us so heavily and run us so deeply into debt that ordinary people are desperate. They have run up such huge debts that they can no longer borrow as they used to so they would have enough money to buy supporters so they can cling to power.

Industry, such as heavy emitting manufacturers, as well as costs from transport will be part of the program. In our cap and trade system, market prices are based on how effectively we are able to drive emission reductions.
(So if current carbon crap tax does not force us to make major changes in our life style to suit LIE-berals then the TAX MUST GO UP until we either vote out the LIE-berals or we start to behave as they demand-and they don’t care if we freeze or starve-just so long as THEY get their gravy and stay out of their way!)
Our market based approach will reduce greenhouse gas emissions while driving innovation and spurring economic growth.

Ontario’s Climate Change Action Plan is putting a cap on the amount of emissions businesses can release into the atmosphere while providing industry the flexibility they need to transition to a low-carbon economy.
We want to ensure Ontarians that transparency is at the forefront in our climate action efforts.
(Yes-we see clearly that you will make us green by killing jobs and life styles of the little people who already cannot afford to have a large carbon output! But you will use carbon crap revenue to ensure your Sunshine List pals/civil service Hogs can keep spewing THEIR major carbon footprint at their cottages equipped with myriad gas guzzling toys and at the airport-with planes being by far the dirtiest way to travel! And you will call this shameless double standard “virtuous”! )
To do so, we have made it compulsory by law to disclose how proceeds from Ontario’s cap and trade program will be invested into projects that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
(Must we REALLY have more programs such as the costly and failed green energy mess in which LIE-beral friends are PAID hundreds of percent over regular electrical generation costs for their green energy? LIE-berals have signed long term contracts with green energy producers at HIGH costs and have agreed to buy ALL electricity the greens care to produce. Ontari-owe now has the ability to produce 40,000 megawatts of electricity but even on days of very high consumption we only use about 22,000-24,000 megawatts-thanks in part to the heavy industries that have already moved out of Ontari-owe. The discrepancy between the amount of electricity we produce and the amount we must sell off at a LOSS to other states and provinces is enough to power one hundred thousand Cdn homes for a year! Are LIE-berals so desperate to BUY friends that they will invest in MORE of such extravagant and biased policy? We simply cannot afford more such LIE-beral economic `innovation`!)
These investments will include jobs by fostering and adopting clean technologies and retrofitting buildings and homes.
(Clearly LIE-berals have not done the math regarding the COST to “retrofit” a typical Ontari-owe home! Certainly they have Not considered how much re-construction of older homes will be needed to effectively retrofit those places.)
(Getting a notable increase in home energy efficiency involves moving the family and ALL their stuff OUT of the house for months while house is stripped to the bare stud walls and new insulation and vapour barriers are installed. In some older brick houses with lathe and plaster walls there will also need to be major 2 x 4 framing installed to support the new insulation and vapour barrier and then of course the ENTIRE house will need to be re-wired as old electrical systems wont fit the newly insulated walls and of course the plumbing will need to be adjusted for newly insulated wall thickness and then the house will be entirely dry-walled and painted with new base boards and window trim and naturally the old flooring will need to be replaced as well as its likely to be damaged in the rebuilding!)
(Or perhaps LIE-berals don’t want us to go to such major trouble? Maybe they will just re-create the Pierre Trudope era home grants that paid for new windows and left the heat whistling out of the old un-sealed walls AROUND the new windows? That program was canceled after Cdns decided it was a waste of money and maybe LIE-berals are hoping we have forgotten that!)
(Or maybe LIE-berals think we should simply add insulation to the OUTSIDES of our houses? But that leaves floors and ceilings unsealed- it’s just another LIE-beral style modest benefit at major cost! In any case, retro-fitting a home for genuine energy savings is more costly and time consuming than LIE-berals want to admit!)
It is also important to note that gas prices have actually gone down since the implementation of cap and trade.
(Yeah, LIE-berals are getting the benefit of Russian stupidity! OPEC tried to get its members-including pig headed Russians-to reduce oil production and push oil prices up-but dead broke Russians NEED EVERY RUBLE they can get! It costs major money to keep Russian economic corruption moving along with Russian support for murderous Syrian swine Assad. Russians are so dead broke they NEED ASSAD to buy their weapons-including chemical weapons- and ain’t it typical-the only thing Russians/Soviets ever made well are weapons!)
Shifts in costs have always been dependent on consumption amount, usage of efficient or inefficient sources of energy and — with respect to vehicles — the type of car one drives.
(Another lie-water bills went up because Cdns started to conserve heavily and LIE-berals needed that lost revenue so Cdns have been trained that conservation does NOT save money-it just gives more revenue to LIE-berals and Hogs!)
We know that households with electric or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle have lower incremental costs of fuel.
(But LIE-berals apparently did Not count in the cost of their subsidies to electric car buyers and don’t calculate the economic cost in lost jobs and lost wages from their related green energy crap that fuels those cars and wont discuss the cost of disposing of used Lithium batteries-with Lithium being one of the most toxic non nuclear compounds we ever created!)
Our government is taking steps to help Ontarians improve the energy efficiency of their homes and cars, subsequently reducing both their energy bills and carbon footprint.
(Really-taxing us till we cannot afford to have cars or homes or jobs is not usually referred to as “improvement!)
Within the federal carbon pricing framework announced in October 2016, Ontario is moving forward with our Climate Change Action Plan.
Our Action Plan provides more choice for households and businesses to make the transition to lower carbon technologies through voluntary programs.
(What about the real LIE-beral need to BUY civil service Hog votes by offering up the huge new piles of gravy they demand for their pensions-the new gravy that LIE-berals SWORE FAITHFULLY to deliver? Is that little detail not CENTRAL to carbon crap and trade TAX policy? Our premier Wynne-bag swore faithfully to a room full of teachers that “she would do whatever was necessary to regain your trust” and apparently it is necessary to destroy Ontari-owe with green energy taxes for the benefits of LIE-berals and their supporters-and to hell with the rest of us!)
Every dollar collected through our plan will be reinvested, allowing us to support up to an estimated $1.9 billion into green projects that fight climate change.
These investments will help families and businesses reduce costs and make the switch to non-polluting choices easier and less expensive.
This is a fair, responsible approach that has the support of third-party experts, businesses and other governments.

News Toronto & GTA- Toronto Hydro zaps city for $35 million

Toronto Hydro announced Monday it will reduce its $60 million annual dividend payment to the City of Toronto — its sole shareholder – to $25 million, leaving Toronto council with a $35-million headache. Mayor John Tory and city councillors will have to fill that hole when they set the city’s 2017 budget in February.
Hydro officials say they need to invest in infrastructure upgrades in order to maintain the safety and reliability of the energy grid.
(Oh right-they have been sucking up gravy for decades and IGNORING decaying infrastructure-now they are ENTITLED to regular gravy and must find repair money from another source-so the city goes short! GREEDY HOGS!)
“This isn’t a new issue, but it’s an issue we are signalling requires some action ... We get money from rates to make capital investments, but we pay the upfront costs. If we put a pole in and we pay $10,000 and recover that over 40 years. You can imagine this upfront cost is putting pressure on our capital structure, particularly because we’ve been making a lot of investments in the grid to help with reliability,” said spokesman Brian Buchan.
(It certainly is NOT a new issue-but what would be new is if Hydro Hogs admitted they had bled the system dry of gravy and that they wont be getting any grand new flows of gravy till the system is repaired!

“The Mayor is concerned about the impact this will have on the upcoming budget. City staff and the budget committee will review this as part of the upcoming budget process. This decision only further underscores how the city is playing catch up when it comes to our outdated and ageing infrastructure. We took years off building transit, and repairing our roads and infrastructure. This is another example of how we need to make up for lost time and part of that is having an honest discussion with the people of Toronto about how we plan to pay for it. Later this month, the city manager will release a report that will look at the financial health of our city, and what steps we can take to move forward. The mayor awaits that report.”

“Hydro recently had a rate increase so there’s no reason they should be doing this. Their claim they’re having trouble meeting their capital needs is just false. Their rate increase was enough to meet their capital needs. The math doesn’t add up. The responsibility is to their shareholder — the City of Toronto. I want a full accounting from Toronto Hydro to understand why they’re violating their shareholder agreement.”

“The city manager has engaged an external consultant to come back and report to executive committee on all of the numbers to make sure they’re all correct. Bottom line, this underscores us playing catch up over many years with our outdated infrastructure, but we need to build transit and do repairs and the conversation we’ll have to be having is about our long-term fiscal health and planning strategy ... We’ll be looking at revenue generating. This just puts another pressure on us — $35 million is equivalent to a 1.5% property tax increase. My goal is to ensure this city is affordable for the residents.”
(They had endless money for raises- they have lots of money for external consultants to identify that Hogs are bleeding us dry-they just cannot do anything about Hog entitlements that are killing us!)

Food costs are soaring 25-40 percent this year.
Lie-berals have re-introduced their nasty little eco-fee for a substantial array of items-IN SPITE of the fact that many cash strapped Cdns diligently collect any and all electronics, tv`s, stereos, water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners and all manner of scrap metal left at the curb and take this stuff to PRIVATE recycling companies for recycling for the sake of earning some extra pennies! With No cost to HOGS, yet Lie-berals charge us as if their civil service Hog allies were handling this debris! In fact the DIRTY LITTLE SECRET of our Hogs is that if you phone city hall to have union Hogs come get your debris-THEY TAKE IT TO PRIVATE RECYCLERS ANYWAY! So the eco fee is nothing but a cash grab by GROSSLY entitled PIGS!
And those cans of left over paint you put out for the trash-you KNOW the Hogs
collect that at local city transfer stations and then LET THE PUBLIC in to REUSE that paint-ITS NOT RECYCLED-most of it ends up on the walls of a house some place as cash strapped Cdns grab up FREE paint! In fact, at a lot of municipal
govt collection yards, the Hogs don’t even need to drive around to collect the paint-people DROP IT OFF FOR FREE-the Hogs just have to store it for a while till dead broke Cdns come to collect it-and you can mix up some interesting colours if you collect enough of the right shades....FOR FREE!!! But it does not stop LIE-berals from collecting eco fees on paint that they DON’T recycle!
Electricity costs are going up another 10 percent this year and Lie-berals also intend to add a carbon tax to our soaring natural gas bills!
Our water bills will also be going up ANOTHER 8 percent this year. LIE-berals tell us they need the extra money for necessary repairs to the water and electricity distribution system and this is LIE-beral talk that means they gave themselves raises, perks and solid gold pensions year after year and NEGLECTED to repair anything for so long that now we have emergency failures and breakdowns.....but they STILL WANT MORE GRAVY for themselves in spite of the mess they have made!
When McWynnty was appointed Ontari-owe premier, she stood in front of teacher Hogs and swore she would do whatever it took to regain their trust and she MEANS it-she will sell our souls if need be to BUY Hog votes. Is it any wonder that some people now refer to McWynnty as The Great Whore because she has sold herself and her party and OUR FUTURE to the Hogs!
Lie-berals have also killed off the income splitting that some people counted on so taxes will rise for the very `middle class` types Lie-berals claim to want to save! How ironic that civil service Hogs campaigned against Harper because he froze their wages-yet Lie-berals are actually working to ERODE those wages with inflation and an array of new taxes!!!! And Hog wages are STILL FROZEN under LIE-beral rule! Zero sum is the new normal! What a bunch of Hog Maroons-they are going to have LESS MONEY with LIE-berals than with Harper!
The exciting new Lie-beral Carbon tax will make the price of EVERYTHING SOAR! Massive inflation for EVERYBODY! And as TEN YEARS of experience with exactly the same sort of plan has shown in Europe, the whole Lie-beral scheme is nothing but a corrupt economy killing MESS. They think our Christian religion is inferior and we out to pay a tax to go to church. They think Western women are all sluts with way too much freedom and need to be trained to serve men properly. The Moslems want a BIG chunk of our Constitution repealed for their convenience-to be replaced by Sharia Law and have already approached LIE-beral leaders here in Ontari-owe about that. And they want to disrupt our long standing relations with our two closest allies: Britain and United States because of their political orientation and beliefs. Instead of supporting our current allies, Muslims would like to see Western nations emasculated and Israelis driven into the sea in a grotesque new HOLOCAUST! The mass of Syrians represent a grave new security risk for Canada and will need to be watched by security forces for DECADES to head off any and all MURDEROUS JIHADIST impulses by our new neighbours.
