As I've said, most people of a certain age learned in the 50s, 60s, and 70s that communism is bad. So they don't know the definition of the term, the simply use it as a synonym for "bad."

The Communists had done traction in Western Canada for a time after the Winnipeg riots and a similar event in Regina. It all softened and moderated over the decades and morphed into the CCF and finally into the NDP.
We are fortunate to have all of the things the so-called commies have gotten for us.
Our much maligned social safety net is probably the best hing we have in this country. It could use a massive expansion - things to add - complete dental and optical coverage. Free public transit. A Tesla S for me.

Whether the "Commies" get them for us or we get them for ourselves what exactly is the difference in who pays for them?

I disagree, Trump may have been second choice but the situation would very likely be very much the same. There was no real choice between the two Isreali owned and operated candidates/partys. The runnning unchecked has almost run its course and as this year runs its calendric course we may see very great discord in the Untied States.
