People come from all over the world to swim in PEI.
I’ve done it while camping at cavendish provincial park.. loved the dunes
When living in Dalhousie, NB swam Eel River Bar and dug clams weekly.. nothing better than fried clams in tarter sauce

What pisses me off about the ferry is that I don;t get a break on it and I live here. They charge me the same As they charge a tourist.
Atlantic Ocean is warmer. For any given latitude, the Atlantic Ocean has proved to be about 16 degrees F (9 degrees C) warmer than the Pacific Ocean off the U.S. coast – quite a difference.
You are FOFS I (and many others) swim in the Salish Sea May to October and am alive to tell the tale.
Where the Confederation bridge is?
lol
of course you do. How long does it take you to get over to Victoria from Vancouver?
Seismic. That island is heading North.
the strait of northumbria is 77 degrees in summer.I can tell you from personal experience that the waters of the Labrador Current are ccccccold!
You have lived on that Island and you don't know that the mainland end of the bridge is in New Brunswick , not Novascotia?the strait of northumbria is 77 degrees in summer.
we are talking about a bridge that goes from the north coast of NS to Pei - over a sand flat that is 50 feet deep / versus a bridge that would go 60 kms over the Georgia Depression. Easily get sea states 4 plus out there - have flown search and rescue missions on many emergencies in these waters. Time is always critical because the water temps.
I have lived on this island for 30 plus years and believe it or not it is a topic that comes up every now and then. Generally held to be impossible/impossibly costly.
Now where we could use a bridge in the real world is from Sydney to mill bay.
that would would save lives and money

Oh i'm sorry. Is there a difference?
IN fact I will be down in PEI next summer and I will be swimming every day.

Don't eat the good morning breakfast .Pro trip: Take your dress off first.
You stretch that bridge much more and it will reach from Hope to Pt. Alberni.
Have a good tripBoomer. If you had come up island a bit I would have caught up with you.
You have lived on that Island and you don't know that the mainland end of the bridge is in New Brunswick , not Novascotia?
And I have been there only once.
BTW.... have you ever been to Machu Picchu?
I do that run all the time sometime as much as once a month-we need a bridge.
The construction of a bridge sounds extra more gooder for the environment
