Yes and I woke up in Calgary last Monday to unseasonably cold temperatures - 16 with wind chill to - 28 . But that is just unseasonable weather .

-16C? That's it? You got lucky. A couple of days later and you would have had -25C with windchill of -36C

You need to await the adjusting of data then you will find you IN FACT woke up in unseasonably warm temperatures.

Perhaps the weather pattern that exists during the ice-age conditions are the ones that favor a civilization that isn't in state of survival mode that always has to involve the elimination of other people as there are only so many supplies to go around.

Lets assume more O2 makes you smarter rather than delusional as that is a trait that comes around only when the brain is dying from lack of O2. People will do crazy things when they think their like is under threat and when the last ice-age ended it did mean that as food production was cut and places to live were inhabitable part of the year so starvation was a real hazard. Having so much wine that it is worth $0.01/gallon is not going to make all of society really drunk. It means the richest and the poorest person can drink the same wine should they choose to do so. Today the best stuff is hoarded and protected with deadly force.
60M years ago the oceans (and earth) were about 1/3 the size they are now so food and air quality were better as was gravity as a smaller globe naturally spins faster and that allows for larger beings. Being heavier in our time due to a larger body and a slower spin rate they would not have been able to stand let alone run and jump and fly. (higher density atmosphere and near 100% humidity makes flying easier)

Really?? That sounds a lot like the expanding earth theory, the one that also says the wjole UK and Ireland will be taken farther out to sea before sinking under the waves thanks to the subduction from the Icelandic Rift going under the body.

I can tell you with no hesitation whatever that no human has the faintest idea what happened here on earth 600 years ago let alone 60 million years ago. Yes well, all that said, Adrian until there is a viable alternative to using my gas-powered car in order to drive 53 kilometers to my nearest shopping center, I most certainly won't be giving it up. Not everyone lives in a city. In addition, I am very stingy when it comes to using water as I have my own well and am cognizant of the fact that it could very well dry up some day. I am also thrifty in the use of power being that I am a customer of BC Hydro. As for litter on the streets, here in the country where I live it is rare - well except during tourist season in the summer months - to find litter along our highways.
