A guy called the local radio station years ago asking for the DJ to play "I Was Barney Rubble" by Tom Petty! lol!

He was serious and had misheard the lyrics. The song of course was "I Was Born a Rebel".

Yikes! Tom Petty's daughter just skewered Rolling Stone Magazine for falsely reporting her father's death! She has a way with words, I'll give her that.

https://www.pedestrian.tv/news/tom-...rious-instagram-slamming-false-death-reports/

“My dad is not dead yet but your ****ing magazine is. Your (sic) slime, has-been pieces of tabloid dog shit. You put the worst artists on your covers, do zero research. How dare you report that my father has died just to get press because your articles and photos are so dated. I will ****ing shit down your throat and your family’s. Try not being a Trump vibe. This is my father not a celebrity. An artist and human being. **** u.”

Prince, Bowie, Michael Jackson, George Michael, now Petty...seems like many of the celebrities/musicians from our youth are biting it at relatively young ages.

Being a Rockstar punishes the body I suppose. Guess this trend will just continue with more of our idols biting the dust as the Boomer generation approaches their senior years.

(sigh)
