It's a little uncanny the way so many people are mesmerized with Trump. Politicians are pretty well all "tarred with the same brush" and that's their persona. There's nothing really special about it.

I thought the big deal with Trump was that he wasn't a politician, according to people like you.

Trump is a little kid in a sand box throwing a tantrum on twitter. The real problem are the millions who think he is a human being and is an adult. They are the scary ones.

That's right Wally. You are not too bright. Get over it or grow up.

Gets better and better. Can't make this stuff up..........reality is stranger than fiction ;-)

Sure you can make it up... Cliffy's source did exactly that. There's no investigation.

Head of Donald Trump’s “voter fraud” investigation is now being investigated for election fraud

Donald Trump’s ‘voter fraud’ investigation is little more than a thinly veiled attempt at allowing Donald Trump to convince himself that he didn’t really lose the popular vote, while collecting personal information on voters for future campaign use. It’s why more than forty states have flatly rejected the Trump camp’s request for such data. But now the effort has backfired even more thoroughly on Trump.

Trump wonders whether Western civilization has ‘will to survive’

Evening Edition from The Washington Post

Is this the kind of thing any population wants to hear from their leader?? His doomsday attitude , and lacking any kind of sense of humor makes him a demoralizing person. If he could at least remain neutral and factual.........but he really is a doomsday sort.

any one hazard a guess as to how the Trump Putin meet up will go??
my money is on Putin. ( because he is more experienced, very manipulative, politics seasoned, and has a brilliant analytical mind.........and also knows how to use psychology.

It might boil down to who can out manipulate whom..Would like to be a fly on the wall ;-)

The rest of Trump's presidency will be as epically disfunctional and entertaining as the first few months.

It was about white supremacy. White supremacists are always talking about the will of the West to survive. Part of their rhetoric is that weak-willed liberalism and multiculturalism saps this will and that so-called inferior races and their cultures will destroy the West. When Trump says things like that he's probably getting his notes from Steve Bannon.

Meanwhile they need to raise protectionism to protect their jobs because they can't compete against the better educated, believing that by keeping foreign physicians out of the country, suddenly uneducated Whites could fill all the medical positions, and that by keeping technical experts out, suddenly businesses will want to hire and train uneducated Whites.

That's why their favourite film is "The Triumph of Will" by Riefenstahl.

There are no trite "real thing" memes and gawd forbid the little shyte has to form a complete sentence.

Good point.

Can understand it on a theoretical level........but hard to accept that kind of ideology has such influence in contemporary times And yet.........things world wide seem upside down and counter intuitive to the times. Two events contributed to this shake up. (IMO).......Brexit and the sort of election of Trump in the US. ( I say sort of....because due to the Russian hacking and influence..........the election itself was hardly valid.

The smartest thing the US should have done is after November........assess the situation, verify the hacking and influence (done now) and then have a whole new election. No one can say that the last election was truly valid.........regardless of how they spin it to themselves. The crazy thing is that Trump KNOWS this............and that explains his obsession with voter fraud and other issues that in his mind question the validity of the election. That is not to say he would not have won again...........but at least there would not be that cloud over it and over his presidency .......... He could then be free to show his true abilities in governing........and might not be carrying such a grudge. (this last part is debatable ;-)

The good news is that if we set our jaws all manly-like, and yell about how badass we are, we won't need to actually do anything.

Like Trump.

Even I was in Washington state last weekend. Haven't been there for about 30 years.

That is a really good question. It seems like most "news" these days is slanted towards the reporter or editor's political bent.

Good point.

ANd in spite of all that Russian hacking Trump still won.
