Neither the psycho bitch or the coalition will reign. The only thing that is going to happen is another election.

I wonder who that will benefit. There's been a lot of speculation. Both parties will try to blame each other for it. I think the only thing we can reasonably assume is that a lot of Green voters would shift to the two major parties.

I supposed there's a possibility that Liberal and NDP voters who previously thought the Greens weren't worth the vote, would change their mind and see them as an emerging force.

The Coalition has to surrender one MLA for Speaker making it a deadlock.

Another election is imminent.

Or Clark can dangle a "Minister" position for the first Green Dipper to cross the floor.

I think if I was Christy I'd just sit patiently and sooner or later one or both of those other two goofs will f**K up! :) Any serious talk of the dam on the Peace being shut down will result in World War 3!

The Dipper will have a real problem with their traditional union support if they eliminate major projects. Actually union support outside of government sector is already weak.I fully expect several dippers that are beholden to their union supporters to either vote withthe Liberals or not show up for the confidence vote. All it would take is two and the result will fracture the NDP forever.

Not to mention the guy is a "loose cannon on the deck" to begin with.

I figure Harry Lali could be the one . He is from the forestry sector and is liked by his constituency for bringing the Coquihala into Merrit . A few well placed local projects could swing his vote .

I think Christy's best course right now is to do nothing! If she sticks to her platform from the election, she'll lose. If she changes her platform she'll be seen as a hypocrite. Best just to keep the other two goofs in suspense! :)

She's going to put NDP and Green policies in the thrown speech. But why? To have them vote down their own policies? To run on those policies if we go to another election?

Does she think voters care about the throne speech?

I think I said before. Her best bet is to let the NDP and the Greens govern for a while and let the coalition fall apart or a by-election tip the very narrow balance. I doubt voters would reward the Liberals if they forced another election so soon. A coalition isn't that unpopular.

Yep, her best bet is just to sit quietly and let someone else screw things up (which John Horgan can do in about 15 minutes) :) :)
They have a horrendous problem on their hands if they really believe they can shut down Site C and Kinder Morgan. (that will be very entertaining to watch- if people think they've seen labour unrest they ain't seen nuthin' yet! :)

P.S. I think the Throne speech will be very interesting. Therein lies the "nuts and bolts" of the Agenda!

B.C. Liberal throne speech lays out ambitious vision borrowing from NDP and Green platforms - British Columbia - CBC News

Is this Christy Clark's savvy trick up her sleeve?

Steal the NDP/Green platform
Have the NDP/Green coalition vote against their own platform
or
Convince a few NDP or Green MLAs to vote for their own platform
Force an election and run on the NDP/Green platform

The throne speech sounded as if the Liberals believed they owned the government and the election was a teachable moment for them.

Who really knows where the logic lies? I told Christy (and Eric Foster) months ago that welfare rates (FOR LEGITIMATE WELFARE CASES) were ten years out of date. N.D.P. and Green logic isn't much better- they keep trying to convince us that Christy lost the election, but my math says 43 is greater than 41 and definitely greater than 3! :) :) Right now I'm just being a fly on the wall ready to watch another election yielding the same results. :)

Who won ?

If you go by Corduroys reasoning??? it must have been Horgan! :) (Christy will likely win...................in the long run) The electorate doesn't want another election anytime soon, so that should give Horgan lots of time to thoroughly f**k things up and that WILL happen as soon as he raises taxes! :)
