I'm outta this shithole. Vancouver sucks raw moose dick.

Its pathetic.

Lived in YVR back in the day... Loved it but only because I wasn't going to be stuck there over the long term.

Was traveling back to YVR every month for work in the last couple of years and the place is just a mad house.. Downtown is a gong show and the area from Cambie up to UBC seems to have densified heavily (along 4th and Broadway)... I constantly felt claustrophobic much of the time I was there

What are the redeeming features about Vancouver? 347 days of rain a year. 47 bridges (bottle necks) $5 an hour parking. crime and drugs running rampant. Congested highways and streets. When it's not raining it's windy or snowing. Absolutely ludicrous house prices and rentals. Leaking condominiums.

Regardless of the shortcomings, Vancouver ranks among the prettiest cities in the world, there is no denying that.

I cant wait for the big "Kinder Morgan PPV Match-up"

In the orange fighting out of Alberta the land of trophy buckles and whiskey bottles weighing in at a barrel of crude we have Mrs Notely from Alberta.

And in the other orange corner fighting out of Beautiful British Columbia, standing taller than the Coqahala, the New Kid on the block, the old the mean, MR Horgan...

Christy Clark has just announced that she will hold a vote of confidence on her government instead of resigning. She said if she loses she will sit as leader of the opposition, which implies she won't push for another election, which was somewhat of a possibility.

The Libs are the cons....funny.

It's like if suddenly the cons in the U.S. loved Russia.

Thing is...B.C has always been that way.

Well I am betting that the Green NDP coalition government dissolves before Trump leaves the White House .

That's reasonable. Even if Trump gets impeached, he's a fighter, probably won't resign and it will take a very long time to get through the process. A lot of countries have long working minority governments, but this government has the slimmest controls over the legislature. There's no room for error.

I can foresee the government falling apart over Kinder-Morgan. The NDP have come out against it, but there isn't much they can do about it. The Greens haven't signed on to government. They are just supporting it and so won't own any of the NDP's decisions. So when the NDP fail to stop Kinder-Morgan, the Greens will be pissed and since they aren't in the government, don't have to own the responsibility.

Trump is pretty safe until 2025. (barring health issues)

You got the weather wrong. Coastal BC has a west coast marine climate, which means that Vancouver actually gets less rainfall in summer than Edmonton or Toronto. Compare the following climate graphs. As for the rest, the traffic congestion and high housing costs are pretty accurate.

Vancouver, British Columbia Climate Vancouver, British Columbia Temperatures Vancouver, British Columbia Weather Averages

Toronto, Ontario Climate Toronto, Ontario Temperatures Toronto, Ontario Weather Averages

Edmonton, Alberta Climate Edmonton, Alberta Temperatures Edmonton, Alberta Weather Averages

Christy's not stupid, she knows full well if she just bides her time patiently, it won't be long before one or both of those two goofs will screw up! :)

Yep, November and December are generally the wettest months on the B.C. coast.
