... As opposed to the dozens of threads started (often on the same subject) by the usual suspects all crying about his beating Clinton and becoming POTUS.

The irony is palpable

One of the biggest problems for a lot of people is Trump conducts himself according to common sense more than accepted protocol. Protocol being the product of bureaucraps! :)

Well put.

I can't help but laugh at one of the more recent beefs these crybabies have when trump misspelled 'coffee'. Apparently, this is direct cause to have him impeached and possibly shot for treason.

... If this is what these folks are forced to stoop to, well, it's gonna be a real long and teary-eyed 3+ years ahead of them

Common sense is not the correct word.

He has a sense for money. He wants more money. He's not real good at making it, but he wants it.

Being a christian, you'd think he'd understand that the love of money is the root of all evil, but then again he doesn't really say anything he means for longer then the next tweet.

Loose lips sink ships and all that. Being president should make that sentiment a high priority but, well he completely lacks common sense.

You're optimism for trump has extended far past what trump is capable of.

Team Trump’s official response to the Comey testimony — now, with context

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...r-310pm:homepage/story&utm_term=.68108cf0f954

Trump's lawyer focused on exactly what he could. with selective cherry picking. that he felt was in favor for Trump. Par for the course.

Is Trump vindicated?? Nope.......... only as far as the one investigation. The current one in progress is looking closly at Trump's staff and inner circle which will likely lead to Trump himself. Good investigations have a way of turning up the most unexpected things .;-)

suspect it could get nasty and personal now. (Trump is a very vengeful person ........by nature)

You owe Trump an apology!

VINDICATED!
IS he?? and from what exactly. He was never under investigation and that has been repeated many times. But he could be now . Let's wait until the current investigation is completed as his inner circle is part of it now and that could easily lead to him personally.

He is the one that kept asking for reassurances about not being under investigation..........to the point his behavior beecame suspect. this is a lot more complicated than appears on the surface. No w if believing he is vindicated.......and he can get down to the business of doing some governing....... great. Let's see how effective he can be.......and without immature temper tantrums via Twitter.

Comey says he shared notes in hopes of a special counsel

https://www.washingtonpost.com/?wpisrc=al_alert-COMBO-politics%2Bnation&wpmk=1

and of course this is what Trumps personal lawyer focused on..........along with other cherry picked items.

Curious that Trump's lawyer was chosen to make the response to the hearing as opposed to his white house staff. ( optics)

It's the only thing Trump's lawyer could focus on.

It is interesting that lawyer responded. Especially since Comey stated he recorded the conversations because of how they made him feel. sheesh!

and IF Trmp has been vindicated........WHEY does he send out his PERSONAL lawyer to respond to the testimony?
Why could he not follow the usual protocol......... and do a press conference?? .Oh yes.......he hates those press conferences as the reporters might ask some hard questions and he might not be able to manipulate himself out of it.

Trump is probably royally pizzed off for being called what he is: a liar .. He might be inclined to make Comey's life hell now...as he is prone to revenge......even after the slightest of insults ........let alone harsh truths.

an aside: but re: those tapes that Trump hinted at as leverage over Comey............ suspect they don't exist. It is Trmps style to make threats ........as wee have all seen by now. Actually, hope there are tapes as it would reduce the "he said , he said " factor.

No they aren't. Look on here, the dedicated Trumpsters will never acknowledge anything negative.

Because we aren't on a witch hunt like the liberals that are fantasizing about cutting off trumps head.

We already acknowledged that hes not a fake ass crusader. Pretending to be someone no one actually can live up too be.

Keep looking im sure there is some needle in that hay stack :laughing3:

I say, all the liberals get together and tie Trump up. Throw him in the water. And if he floats he's guilty.

Not so much optimism for Trump, as complete lack of ANY confidence, respect or trust for Hillary!

You're a dumpster fan? Well, of course you are; you fit the gullibility profile perfectly.

The Dumpster is a Christian? Why do I think that a person who misquoted the Bible so badly is only a Christian of convenience, like most US politicians?

If Trump is a christian then I am the Deli Lama.
