Funny how that works eh?!
One election after another like that.
I think it's a much better system than one with fixed election dates and little accountability.
Well, the fixed election dates does put the brakes on a lot of game playing (and dishonesty).
In the end, better off to have just one Party running the show even if they aren't your first choice
Yes that's true fixed dates are no panacea..Voters in systems with fixed dates seem just as susceptible to game playing and dishonesty.

The result of that campaign was the NDP lost a lot of their early support as it gave the anti-Harper vote time to get used to Justin Trudeau. If you hate Trudeau, you can thank the longer campaign for him being PM. Then again, you might think Tom Mulcair would have been worse.
He used to be a provincial Liberal minister in Quebec, under Jean Charest, who used to be the federal PC leader. Quebec is weird like that.
I haven't seen a lot of evidence for Trudeau having no backbone. That criticism just seems to fit into the narrative that he's young, inexperienced and flaky rich pretty boy. Honestly, what has he done that showed he lacked courage or resolve?
What has he done period? Besides borrow money to give to other countries? ANd Bombardier.

I twigged on to the fact he has no back bone the first day he was in power and assigning his cabinet. Did he assign the positions to the best qualified people? Noooooooooooo, he assigned 50% to men and 50% to women because it was 2015. What would he have done if there was some trans gendered people in the mix? The guy's a flake, much like his old man!

What does that have to do with him not having a backbone?
"Backbone" in this instance is metaphor. One sign of a such a condition might might be the refusal to match appropriate reasons to actions. W.T.F. has the date got to do with criteria for matching up job candidates?
Yes thank you, I realize backbone is a metaphor, but you seem to have no idea what the metaphor means.
I think you might be wrong. It covers a lot of territory for sure but part of it might be to have the gumption, guts and sagacity to do things for the right reason. In this case wanting the most qualified person to do the job and most people might find that the date has very little to do with it.![]()
Honestly, I'm tired of this. You're so incredibly obtuse about it and I don't even care. I'm not going to hold your hand to the basic understanding of the words you use. Figure it out yourself or just continue with your irrational dislike of Trudeau.
Look, I don't like Trudeau. I would never vote for him or his party. I don't need or want to defend him, but your reasons for disliking him are just silly and you can't even articulate them intelligibly.
Incidentally, under your ridiculous definition of "backbone" your dislike of Trudeau proves you have no backbone. If backbone means not having the right reasons for doing things, and you don't have any good reason to dislike Trudeau, then you don't have a backbone.
