Operation Cyclone was the code name for the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) program to arm and finance the Jihadi warriors, mujahideen, in Afghanistan from 1979 to 1989, prior to and during the military intervention by the USSR in support of its client, the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan

Do you get the impression he over rates his own self importance? (Which by the way is zero and always has been.) :) :) :)

So, as things stand now, i see Jared Kushner (his son in law) being the chief foreign affairs advisor, Lt. Gen H.R. MacMillan (NSA), chief military advisor and Gary Cohn, chief economic advisor. The latter comes from Goldman Sachs, which has ruled the world as the infernal conductor of post national, global free market capitalism of the last 40 years. That is from whence were spawned Hank Paulson of 2008 infamy, and Steve Mnuchin, the new Treasury Secretary. Steve Bannon seems to have been relegated to some kind of populist figurehead with no real influence.

The triumverate form a bastion of Neo Liberalism, Anglo American Economic Imperialism and disenfranchisement of domestic moral government agency in the interests of industry and equity. This is not what the American electorate voted for. It has no chance of success. And this fulminating rebellion against a failed economic and cultural paradigm remains unpacified. It will find a new champion if Trump fails to deliver on his promises.

Chinese philosophy used to say that a successful emperor had the "mandate of heaven" and the collapse of a dynasty indicated that the mandate had been lost, usually due to some immoral behaviour or failure to meet their obligations to the people.

I'm curious, since you believe Trump has taken up the "mantle of God" but are now starting to say unflattering things about him, do you think Trump has lost of the mantle of God? Has God forsaken him? It's only been 3 months though. Why would God have chosen Trump when he's failing so quickly?

And it seems to me that one of the Dumpster's promises was to keep the US out of foreign entanglements. Looks like that policy lasted all of 90 days.

Trump can join a long line of US presidents that broke that campaign promise.

When Kim Jong Don took the mantle of Gawd, all Gawd's knickknacks fell into his fireplace.

Oh, I guess he's just supposed to ignore N. Korea's threats!
North Korea has been threating anyone and everyone ever since the end of the Korean war in 1953. Nothing new. But if dumbo Trump and buddies get sucked into a fight with him, Trump get's a special note in history........

All this craziness would be ended if the US signed a peace treaty with North Korea ending the first Korean War and opened up diplomatic and commercial relations. No need for war or missile threats. North Korea is a horrid, brutal regime. But so is Egypt, whose tin pot dictator was wined and dined by Trump last week

But pounding the rostrum with your shoe is always much more fun than boring peace talks.

Here are some films I shot in South and North Korea three years ago:

I doubt the ability of Americans to make that happen, IMO they are more likely to wrap themselves in the flag or be wraped in it and be led to slaughter in another great patriotic war.

You have to take North Korea for what it is; namely a tinpot dictatorship. I very much doubt that the little dork in charge of the county is interested in committing suicide. I have no doubt that the USA knows every one of his hiding places and I'm betting Kim knows that too.

I've no doubt that he's absolutely nuts, but I think the way he is acting is tantamount to committing suicide.
