No, but the US justice system has some very serious flaws. First, it has probably the longest jail sentences of any democratic nation on Earth. These leads to a very large permanent prison population.
Second, many American judges and district attorneys are elected. They run for re-election based on their record for convictions and the length of sentences they dole out.
Third, much of the US prison system has been privatized. It requires a large prison population to make it profitable.
Fourth, the US system is a vengeance based system. Little effort is made to rehabilitate inmates and there is considerable pressure to put criminals in jail even for minor crimes.
And you prefer men... not that there is anything wrong with that. It is quite alright to come out when you are ready.
So you agree with domestic violence as long as it is against men?
