Poor LittleHo is having another bipolar episode.

It has really been acting up since your candidate Hillary lost the election hasn't it?

I can tell that it has. Are you still seeing a shrink? Perhaps talking with a professional will help.

Yes - I would really like to go back to the good old days of coal-fired central heating, inefficient gas-guzzling cars, and a complete lack of pollution controls on industry.
Political controls on industry such as what? Your only money making businesses now are banks and oil companies. Are you interested in knocking those out as well?

If it was a conservative program you'd be all for it. Eaglecrack.:)
Can you suggest exactly what was liberal and what conservative in those comments? Or do you simply react with political messages because that's what's in your heart?

Apparently you are completely unaware of any technological development beyond that of 1950.

Really - I guess you should tell all the tech companies that. Considering that companies like Microsoft and Apple have only been around for about 40 years I would say that they are doing quite well. Just in case you are interested the most profitable company in the US was Walmart.

Wake appears to work for an oil company. Expect a steady stream of Kochonomics form this source.

You DO understand that Microsoft and Apple are American companies don't you? Do you suppose they don't get LARGE subsidies by the Canadian government to supply jobs?

The only large Canadian owned companies are BANKS and oil.

If you were that curious one would think that you have a memory longer than a couple of postings long. I've stated many times that I'm a research and development electronics engineer and programmer than worked on science. Unlike you who seem to work on nothing at all. No wonder you like that Canadian economic system.

There is only one way to draw power off of the tides in the bay Fundy and that is the partial or total damming of the flow which in EITHER case would cause VAST ecological damage. This is quite different than using the Thames which was once a vast sewer.

Nope. There is a tidal generator being tested ata resort on the Sonora island. Haven't checked into it for a while now. It is anchored in a high flow channel and it is tidal action that moves it. Seems to me it is built more like a turbine than a paddle wheel.

As long as the taxpayer is footing the bill for his hunter/gatherer.

It doesn't matter in the least what form it takes. You CANNOT remove energy from water flow without causing problems. Near Sonora the problem probably wouldn't be destructive as it would be in the Bay of Fundy because the amount of energy would be severely limited by the tide water simply taking a different route.

There is no "green energy" that doesn't cause problems. Dams make lakes where streams and creeks once were. This in general causes the least problems even though it changes the entire eco-system. (Ask the salmon)

Solar energy is preposterous. In the BEST locations it only generates measurable power five hours a day. The solar cells are less than half as reliable as they are normally stated to be by their manufacturers. I talked to their engineers who rolled their eyes when I asked about the expected lifespans generating 80% of their rated power and they told me that it was like 5 years and not the claimed 10 or more. And then they went into rapid decline. You have to clean the dust off of them EVERY day because anything in the way of the Sun and the cells degrades the output. Even partially cloudy days cut output greatly. It's one of those nice ideas that doesn't actually work.

Windpower is worse. The wind doesn't blow often enough at sufficient speed to extract power from them. Although my brother was an electrician for Wind Power and claims otherwise, I have ridden my bicycle past the windmills hundreds of time and it was unusual for them to be operating. I helped my Uncle develop a vertical windmill and he patented it and I inherited the patent but it was worthless since he wanted to use it in ocean currents and calculations show no power available except in unusual locations.

People see a windmill turning and assume that it is generating power. In fact it hardly ever does. Even the new giants with 127 foot blade and a wingspan of 254 feet. You don't want these things to stop because of the power necessary to get them moving again so you just allow them to run free when the wind is of insufficient strength.

Using wave power is fairly harmless but the size of the installation to make any usable power is staggering. And because of their size they are very prone to damage from storm conditions.

Fossil fuels release the CO2 that they used for photosynthesis when the world was younger. While it would nice to leave things the same you cannot.

Sorry, I had no idea you were a foreigner. I rarely look at profiles. And apparently you have decided to keep yours secret. Perhaps you should consider making your posts more precise and avoid using words like "your" to describe Canada.

You are STILL avoiding the fact that the Canadian economic/socialist system has destroyed business in your country and that the the top 10 companies are banks and oil companies which the government has decided to keep their mitts off of since they destroyed their country from the last fiddling.

Socialism does not work and it INEVITABLY leads to totalitarianism. I know that everyone has told you that it was the right wing that does so but all you had to do was pay attention in history class and you've shown that you didn't.
