Interesting piece of the story here. This photo, showing Ms. Gunn Reid doing something with the camera and tripod, bears the "Canadian Press" byline, which might indicate that the CP photographer who was in attendance, has more photos than was earlier stated. Still, you'd think that if he has pictures of the actual assault that they would have surfaced by now.

Probably not if they tend to help her case. He definitely was not a fan of hers. A subpoena might do it but I don't believe the charges warrant that, but who knows. They could be detrimental for either side, and all lawyers worth their salt know that you don't ask a question in court you don't already know the answer to.

That's a pretty asinine assessment of this situation.

Mr. Bews has been charged and rightly so, it's undeniable that his cuffing the camera is a form of assault, and he was caught on video, so he'll be going down. What the video also establishes is that Ms. Gunn Reid's claim that "He punched me in the face" is blatantly false. I for one, am eager to see what comes out of the court challenge, and how much importance the judge is going to put on Ms. Gunn Reid's claims, and what sort of evidence she is going to supply in addition to the video. Judges are given to weigh in on the value of available evidence, not party affiliations or just how loud someone can state their case.
