You're absolutely right but approx. 50% of the voters did! Did I say 50% of the population? God damn Alzheimers;:)

Look it up.

Whatever turns your crank, Cord! I'm not sure you'd be correct as he's doing what voters elected him to do and I don't think THEY'D like to be characterized as W.S.T.s

Do you have any idea what we're talking about?

Dippers hate trade and love deficits. They have lots in common with the Trumpites. They're just as crazy so maybe we should put them on a watch list

Stupid watch list. About the closest they come to terrorist activities is damaging someone's equipment that has upset them.

The NDP was pretty close the other night with this Bissonette character. I have heard your laws were a little different with regards to labeling what is and what is not an act of terror.

Canada not wanting to offend and such. ;)

They are similar to the Trumpites on those two fronts, true. Though very different on the immigration front and in support for the UN at least as far as lip service goes. But similar to trump in their criticism of NATO, albeit for different reasons.

Both Trump and the NDP are very nationalist, albeit different brands of nationalist. That said, all major Canadian federal parties are nationalist, though they might manifest it differently, some throuhg economic protectionism, others through anti-immigration policies or militarism.

The Libertarian Party of Canada might be the least nationalist party in Canada. Totally pro free trade and for open borders.

"Is the NDP Party on the Canadian Terror Watch List?"

Yes. Apparently surveillance has been increased at The Happy Endings Massage Parlor.

Seems like a lot of the Islamic terrorist attacks in North America are committed by "lone wolfs". They get associated to terrorist organizations because they are inspired and radicalized by their propaganda. Rarely do they make contact with these organizations or have planned to carry out their attacks with the organizations guidance.

Yep

This shooter in Quebec City was likely similarly radicalized and is a lone wolf only in the sense that he's not part of an organized group. There are a lot of losers posting racist and extremist views online, easily accessible on social media, even on this forum, and Trumpist terrorists are emboldened now more than ever.

"Trumpist"?? Really? Have you been drinking?

Probably not. They'd have to monitor conservative hate groups, which make up a significant portion of the conservative movement. Conservatives freak out and cry about discrimination when the government monitors their terrorist activity.

It is a whole lot easier to find those that hate liberty on the left.....although there are idiots all across the political spectrum. What "right wing" terrorist would you have the gov't monitor? Conservative voters?

What Canada needs is it's own version of the US second amendment and Muslims need to arm themselves. I'm sure that will go over well.

Couldn't agree more. In fact, in the UK, in the USA, in Canada gun control throughout the first half of the 20th century was specifically aimed at keeping new immigrants from arming themselves. New York's Sullivan Law, introduced in 1911, was brought in by corrupt politicians to serve the Irish mobs because the second generation of immigrants were far too likely to poke a few holes in them when they went to collect their protection money.

A damn shame the guys with the cojones to challenge the ******* in QC were not armed.

The rhetoric from the NDP must be very bigoted and inflammatory to cause him to go off into a place of worship and mercilessly gun people down.

This put the whole Canadians are polite shtick into the sunlight. The whole world was watching.

He might have liked the NDP maybe for some of its policies on Quebec and on secularism, but I doubt he approved of the NDP's immigration policy. Though he might have liked some of the NDP's policies, I'm sure the mosque shooting was in spite of similarities between him and the NDP and not because of them. The NDP is a hypernationalist party, albeit less so than the Conservative party for example, but the NDp would still be far far less nationalist than Trump, Le Pen or the shooter at the mosque.

Eaglesmack.

Are you high?

He's American so might not be very familiar with Canadian political parties. Give him a break.

No one on this planet believes the NDP would radicalise this guy.

If they did, he would be Jesus.

Lets see... NDP... Bissonette... shoots up a room full of praying Muslims.... that does not sound like something Jesus would do.

The sad thing is... the whole world saw... and it was Canada. Not the US... Not the EU... Canada.

Soul searching is needed, particularly in the NDP.
