I noticed. I also noticed none of that was on Harper's radar. That's why I voted for him. He promised fiscal responsibility. Too bad we didn't get it.
Now, back to Trump. Muslim registries, Mexican walls, tariffs, expanding deficits and debt and government handouts are on his radar. Fiscally, he's not much different than Trudeau. That's why I would never vote for him. His lying is just the icing on the cake.
You do realize that Muslim registries are nothing new in the US, right? Well, technically they weren't called "Muslim" registries, it was just a register of people and places that were considered undesirable. BY the by, Mr. Peace aka Jimmy Carter banned Iranians from entering the US.
As for the wall, it isn't just about Mexicans. It's about a porous border where people from all over Mexico, Central and South America sneak into the US. Not wanting millions of undocumented people running around your country isn't racist, it isn't bigoted, it's just common f*cking sense.
Did you once hear Trump say he wanted to ban legal Mexican immigration? No?
As for Trump being a liar, tell me, who in politics doesn't lie. Who doesn't lie when they're campaigning to be the leader of a country?
O'Bummer pledged to close Gitmo, it's still open. Obama pledged to work towards peace in the Middle East. The US is currently bombing 7 different countries over there. And well, you know the old saying, "Bombing for peace is like f*cking for virginity".
Chretien ran and won largely on a pledge to scrap the GST. It's 2017 and it's still here. And yes, Harper ran on a promise of fiscal responsibility which went unfulfilled.
I mean, if your objection to someone as a leader is based on the fact they lie, then voting must be a real chore for you since no matter who you vote for it'll be based on lies.
