The indians crossed onto PRIVATE property and started attacking people. That is hardly peaceful. The fact they are bringing 'wooden posts and flagpoles' to go up against a fully armed force shows they didn't take advantage of the free education they have access to. It isn't bravery, it's stupidity.

They even imported some natives for local color and to help the tourist trade
and so their land up the lakes could be stolen too
