A weird editorial in which the Globe and Mail struggles to grasp the concept that not everyone in Canada is happy.

The threat of political correctness, real and imagined

Has political correctness gone too far in Canada? Are Canadians too quick to take offence? Is Donald Trump’s rise to Republican presidential candidate somehow connected to this?

The Angus Reid Institute, a “not-for-profit, non-partisan public opinion research organization,” released a poll this week that raised these questions. Its findings are startling and important.

The survey of 1,510 people found that two-thirds of Canadians (67 per cent) believe that “too many people are easily offended these days over the language others use.” Three-quarters (76 per cent) believe “political correctness has gone too far.” Eighty per cent say, “These days, it seems like you can’t say anything without someone feeling offended.”

more obviousness here

This reaction seems universal where we see this same mushy conditioning meeting resistance called common sence. So this globalist revolution drivil is getting stuffed all over the world it seems.

It is all about character
People know people,
I don't know why people become excited about words,
Mistakes are made, regrets are harvested but good character stands the test of time
Don't sweat the small ****

Make it awkward

It does though perhaps not in the way you or others may think.

Right wingers have been playing the politically correct card since the early 1950s but nobody calls it that when they pull that shtt.

So the left is beating the right at its own game?

Not even close.

Belief in right wing lies is what constitutes political correctness. Look at the all the Fo卐 network lies that have been exposed on this forum over the years. In the twisted little minds of the right wing politically correct delusionals, every thing that network reports is the "truth". Soon enough it is exposed as phony. Same thing with every right wing myth that we have seen on this forum.

You seem to have the sides mixed up again. It is the looney left that is constantly spewing lies. And getting called on them.

That which you have said is an example of right wing political correctness.

The Downing Street Memo proved Bush was a liar. The many Republican committee meetings that attacked Obama or Clinton never panned out even once thereby refuting all the lies spewed by the right wing against them. I have linked to mediamatters and others which prove Fox's claims are lies.

"Obama will take away your guns"
"the Obamas will soon divorce"
"Obama will close down the internet"
"Obama will create death panels"
"Obama takes more vacation time than anyone else"

Every single time that the right wingers have made their politically correct {sic} claims they have always been exposed as phony.

Heck, check out the CONSERVATIVE National Review - even they call out Trump on his endless lies. Despite all the politically correct garbage that says he can do no wrong, the fact is that there is no bigger liar anywhere. Contrary to what you or others want to believe, it is the delusional right wing that is "politically correct".

Do you really think any of us care what Trump or Clinton say or think?

Trouble is, by assigning sides like "left" and "right", a person is automatically trapped in those paradigms.
Which is exactly why things are done that way.

left Hitler
Right Stalin
( remember him? uncle joe?)

Both banker run stooges...Putin, having ended the oligarchical control of the Russian central bank is now the enemy of both american parties.
Gadhafy, Saddam, Iran, Afghanistan, Ukraine, JFK, Noriega, etc etc etc, all on the idiotic hit list regardless of Party "side",- they weren't in the oligarchs' party.

Speaking strictly from a none bias position, I can see the left winning at that game today. Only from the other side of the coin. So is the left beating the right at its own game?
I can see both sides doing it. When I take off my bias glasses.

:laughing3: You lost it. Sour loser. We own it now.

Only way you're getting it back is by taking it back over my dead body. I'll see you on the battle field.
Heh-heh. What I meant was "don't assume that your ways and customs are those of all Canadians. You have every right to impose your ways in your home, but Canada isn't 'your' home, it's a home you share with 35 million other people, who may or may not agree with your ways."

You ran it through your butthurt Old Stock Canadian filter, and found a racial angle that wasn't there.

And son, you've never been within a thousand miles of a battlefield. Internet tough guys are the biggest p*ssies of all.

Yes, because solving political correctness with a xenophobic, authoritative regime makes tons of sense lol
