In an effort to provide factual and useful information to energy users, Bruce Power launched an innovative calculator on our App and website that illustrates how critical our output is to achieving these targets. A link to the calculator can be found here: Climate Change Calculator | Bruce Power. As the calculator illustrates, our 6,300 megawatts of output in Ontario's electricity system is the equivalent of keeping six million cars off the road each year and essential to meeting the 2020, 2030 and 2050 targets.

Yep. But the Wynned sock would rather go with more wind and solar because the LPO doesn't believe in getting value for our dollar.
For Christ's sake man, we can manufacture our own reactors and build our own NPPs. Canada has the purest deposit of uranium found on the planet so costs for processing are minimal and yet the dumba$$ would rather increase Ontario's capacity based on the vagaries of weather.

So there is the answer. The nuclear industry has bought/conned the Ontario government to quit using inexpensive, clean fossil fuels in exchange for dangerous and expensive nuclear power. Way to kill the planet.

Zero Emissions Movement Picking Up Speed In Other Countries - Gas 2

At the end of last week, the four major political parties in Norway arrived at a tentative agreement that would eliminate the sale of fossil fueled automobiles by the year 2025. The news media reported the agreement as an accomplished fact, but actually, it is still awaiting approval by the government. More talks are scheduled as early as Monday.

Other countries are not far behind. Political leaders in the Netherlands are also proposing a ban on fossil fuel cars by 2025. India also is considering a requirement that all new cars be electric by 2030.

Can't wait to see the un forceable environmental problems, this will cause

"The federation is particularly happy with a section of the action plan that commits the government to expand natural gas infrastructure in rural Ontario, says McCabe. The federation has been lobbying for the infrastructure expansion to bring farmers and rural dwellers a cheaper, cleaner burning fuel."

Odd how the propaganda glosses over the fact that Hydro greed is killing agriculture
