Ultimately, it doesn't matter who he pledges allegiance to.
Shootings like this come from people who have some personal delusions about society and cannot be avoided.
But that being said, these people make all kinds of excuses and he's pledged allegiance to conflicting groups so it would be extremely disingenuous to make assumptions otherwise.
The latest reports imply that his father was the primary influence on his homophobia.

On Saturday, before I'd even heard of any of this (not sure when it happened because I haven't read it all) I spent a few hours of my time trying to inform authorities of a possible threat, to no avail! I went to 2 police detachments to try and pass on this info (which I hope is probably nothing) but both the Barrie city police and the Barrie OPP passed the buck and said I had to take it to the Toronto police, meanwhile sh!t could have gone down, especially with events like Florida giving inspiration to idiots like the one this post on craigslist Toronto tries to shed light on:

...but I gave up. the national hotline only operates monday to friday, I guess because everyone knows terrorists don't work weekends.
Maybe someone who cares will relay this to someone who maybe gives a flying fig.
