I thought Trump did well on the Republican debate last night. I thought Cruz also impressed.

In term of national security there were 4 (Trump, Cruz, Carson, Paul) who presented a glaring truth that has been all but ignored by media and political establishment. That is that the policy of Regime Change in the Middlle East has catastrophically failed. That the Arab Spring has turned into a nightmare.

The ousting of Hussein, Gadaffi, Mubarak.. and the prospective exit of Assad in Syria has led to vacuums into which Muslim extremism, and age old clan and tribal conflicts simply reduce the nations into anarchy.. ruled by feuding warlords... and a base to export terrorism. It has led directly to the mass migration of refugees out of these countries into Europe.

GW Bush provided the model of what NOT to do when imposing political change in the Middle East. He invaded Iraq (on trumped up pretexts).. dissolved the secular institutions which had kept some semblance of order in the country.. that of the civil bureaucracy and the army. Then he put the country into the hands of rebels on the incredibly naive concept that these were nation builders rather than clan leaders.. interested in enriching and empowering themselves and destroying their enemies.

Hussein, Mubarak, Gaddafi were all associated with Baath Party.. a movement of pan Arab nationalism with strictly secular policies. It has have always been viewed with scepticism by the Western establishment as they could unify the economies, politics and resources of the Arabs, especially with respect to Oil and Israel, which the West has always controlled by dividing them against each other.

As bad as these guys were.. they provided some stability to their countries and control of raging ethnic and religious rivalries on which the countries are built (or imposed in the West as they dissolved their colonies).

There is no winning in these places. These are civil wars which always end in disaster for foreign interlopers. Trump understands that.. so does Cruz. But the Republican establishment refuses to acknowledge the GWB ran one of the most incompetent American administrations in the history of the U.S. in terms of foreign policy, national security and the economy.

And all of that is biting back with avengeance now.

This is an interesting watch... but you know the Liberals, either personal attacks or, "I Can't Hear You."

"He" personally defeated the Soviet Union on his own, did he?

You do a tremendous disservice to all of us who were in the military fighting the Cold War for two generations. That idiot mannequin "won' did he? That's a disgrace and an insult. It was a tremendous effort that involved millions. How dare you.
I'm all for you jumping on ES the trolling liar. I have a question though, what does one do in a war where no shots are ever fired?? I know one British engineer who went all over the world building military roads. (as on Christmas Island) He also drank himself to death unfortunately.

Troll alert, a real mother would have looked at the details a lot closer and her child would be reacting to some facts rather than the intended hysteria.
Take her to Gaza for a month, if you get back she will sleep just fine except for the nightmare about things in Gaza. Buckle up, the ride isn't even rough yet.

Wife and body-guard, impressive, she is what is called ' a keeper'. The narrowed eyes means 'back up buddy' in most cases.

Trump: I can’t wash my hair properly because of water regs

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump says water regulations are making it difficult for him to keep his famed mane clean.

Asked about the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) “Waters of the United States” rule at a campaign event in Aiken, S.C., on Saturday, Trump said it significantly impairs his ability to rinse, lather and repeat.

“I’ll give you one regulation,” Trump said. “So I build, and I build a lot of stuff. And I go into areas where they have tremendous water. … And you have sinks where the water doesn’t come out.

“You have showers where I can’t wash my hair properly,” he added. “It’s a disaster.

“It’s true. They have restrictors put in. The problem is you stay under the shower for five times as long."

I think Obama may look like Christ and Einstein combined when matched up against this upcoming crop of contenders. Jeb Bush is actually starting to look good methinks. :)
