The conservative flock are truly upset that the new Prime Minister is popular and
young people want to see what he is going to do next. Besides news in Canada
is entertainment these days. Do I support everything he does no and I didn't vote
for him however he is an improvement over what we had most Canadians feel
that way so why not just let it ride for a while? The reason? Trudeau is going to be
around for a while and the Tories are going to the penalty box where the Liberals
once were. Their mistake? They didn't do what the new generation wants. The
Conservative agenda is not popular with the younger crowd.
Besides the wish list is for a new round of optimism and the Tories didn't have any.
Is he perfect? no is he my choice NO but he is a lot better than what we had and we
got rid of a self centered control freak and we made the cover of Vogue as a nation
what could be better than that?

A good bowel movement.

nobody is psychic, so nobody knows.
A calculated assessment can be made by simply reading his platform, and actions, then gauging it against reality.

I give you a simple example.

JT claims he's a feminist.

Sits down, breaks bread with a group of Muslims that segregate their women, proclaims he's one with them.

Sorry Twila but that's not a politician acting like an adult. That's a politician acting like a politician. They are about as sincere as a used car salesman and that might be too harsh on used car salesman.

Politicians, all politicians irrespective of party affiliation, are interested in one thing and one thing only.....getting elected. Nobody, no matter how shiny and new they appear to be, is really going to be "different" or "better". In the end they are all out to hose you.

Elections have consequences. When is the Cosmo spread coming out? Rolling Stone? People?
The NY Times has a nice article on him......

The younger Trudeau’s road to victory as prime minister truly began on a Saturday night in 2012 in a boxing ring in Ottawa. At the time, the Liberal Party was leaderless and lost, after a devastating defeat in the election of 2011 reduced its seats in Parliament to only 34, roughly one-tenth of the total at the time. The sensible way forward seemed to be a merger with the larger New Democratic Party. Aiming to change the political dynamic, Trudeau literally picked a fight. In what looked like a publicity stunt, he challenged a 37-year-old Conservative senator named Patrick Brazeau, known as Brass Knuckles, to three rounds of boxing to raise money for cancer research.

Everyone expected Trudeau to receive a royal beating, including his wife. Brazeau had a black belt in karate and a military background, and he grew up on hardscrabble First Nations reservations; his bar brawler’s physique, tattoos and trash-talking bravado made him the three-to-one favorite by fight night.

One thing about all the publicity, he's keeping Canada in the news and pretty favorably from what I've been reading.

Why is it important for Canada to be in the news? What we are really in is deep doo-doo, population expanding, economy going down the drain and unsustainable debt looming.
That will make great news! Looking pretty won't be of much value when reality sets in.

There is the proof that..................................................................

Or brains.

Can you be more specific please?

She means anything she does not agree with.

Trudeau is a poster boy who ran on his Daddy's name.. that's it, that's all..

Fluff .

that is the part that amazes me. With what most Canadians think of the paternal unit one would expect him to change his name.

What people want and what is good for the country often are not the same thing. If all politicians are prepared to do is give people what they want then we might as well just do away with governments.

Politicians act like adults. Unless you're talking Donald. He's a child pretending to be a politician.

Pretending is for preschoolers.

Which is pretty much the intellectual level of anyone that buys JT's act.

Pretending to like and get along with others is how the business world moves forward.

That was funny. Overconfidence in himself and underestimating the Sunshine Superman. Bigtime ooops. Politicians do that sort of thing often, I think. lol

meh McLuhan said, "Celebrity is news. Everything else is entertainment", and the Shiny Pony knows it. He will milk it while knowing he is the puppet to the puppetmasters.
I will wait and see what is in the works.
