You are making the claim. I know of no legislation in Canada since the supreme court struck down the abortion laws in Canada. So who, what, and when are you talking about.

Since even Canadian TV is bombarded by the freak show that is going on in the US (the presidential elections) it is difficult sometimes to separate who is doing whom in this debate. The right wing fundies on the Republican side would be who is trying to stop abortions and there are plenty of Canadians who protest at abortion clinics and set up phony help clinics that badger any unsuspecting lady who is seeking advice on abortions.

Okay, the Beatitudes are like "blessed are the peacemakers..." Great stuff, but that doesn't really have anything to do with what Twila was saying. Twila was saying that Christians are hypocrites for having abortions. That only applies for Christian who don't agree with abortion, and then have abortions (as it does for Muslims and atheists who have abortions while thinking it's wrong to do so). Someone who changes their mind over time toward the prolife position is not a hypocrite if they had an abortion in the past.

You have it pegged! :)

The thing about religion, is that no one can hardly agree on a damn thing. As evidenced in this matter.

I like to keep it simple. I figure if a guy strives to live by the Golden Rule, he can forget about the rest of it.

As I recall he did say to limit your conversations to a simple yes or no, anything else comes from evil. That one makes sense.

As he told the Jewish folk in those days

We live in a global neighbourhood now thanks to the internet. People move around from city to city county to country at an unprecedented quantity by family that the movement of any significant number of people have effects ontl the traditions and thoughts of communities near by and the ripple effect should not be summarily dismissed.

Imagine back a couple thousand years. No internet, telephone, tv or radio. Only information and communication was long distance hearsay and some scribes who were prone to mythologize and exaggerate stories from oral traditions. Different world now, but the bullshyt hasn't got any less deep. :).

How many hunters from the city have that kind of access??
I have no idea and really do not care a whole lot either.
They can find the same meat in any decent butcher shop.
Wrong. Wild meat has to be butchered in a federally or provincially approved abatoire, inspected, and the vendor has to be properly licensed or it is illegal to sell.

I'm putting this in the in the "news" section because it relates to the refugee issue we are dealing with now..’

I find it a bit ironic that a person who doesn't have an inkling about how to behave like a Christian or how to properly treat other human beings would start a thread to do with Christianity. It would be akin to me starting a thread about life on the far side of the moon. :)

now it's willful ignorance, which may be worse.

Are you trying to tell us you actually follow what is going on in US elections?

which is sooooo sad if you have no close hunter friends. Or they're simply haven't "extra".

We had a pretty nice barter system going amongst several friends this past couple of years. We bought from a fisher friend and exchanged with a hunter friend. Couple of sockeye for some chorizo bear sausage or venison or grouse. I have no moose hunter friends at the moment which makes moose impossible to get.

Although, Hills Foods in Coquitlam (sells all kinds of game from Aligator to Musk Ox, no moose though, sigh) has a lovely ground game mix of ostrich 20%, bison 60% and kangaroo 20%. Just can't roast it, makes great burgers, sheppards pie, taco meat, etc.

no more ironic then those who self identify as christian but are proud to be an azzholes and looses they're sh!t on those who hold a different view on say...abortion here on the forums, imo

Are you trying to tell us you actually follow what is going on in US elections?

anyone who has friends in the SU and or is on facebook gets to see all kinds of interesting news articles about US politics and the moronic things the self identified christian politicians say. It's literally out there for the world to see even if they're not looking.
