I had a lovely bacon wrapped wild, locally shot, pheasant with cranberry stuffing, paired with a nice Bordeaux. At a friends not that long ago. Not a white collar bourgeois swine in sight.

Apparently, your days are numbered

you're a real winner.

Why thank you for that most thoughtful compliment. I knew that you were an ole softie deep down inside.

... Now, go get me a beer, bitch

Poverty is a nebulous thing. What we consider poverty is wealth in places like Thailand or Somalia. I read years ago there is one tribe (maybe in Australia) who had no possessions and subsist by eating rats. Hope they've improved since then!

is this why the poor working class is so devoted to defending their bourgeoisie masters, they think they're a part of the established oligarchy too?

"Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires."

what exactly is this retarded **** and who the **** are the 47% who don't pay taxes?? the IRS may want to know.

riiight, 47% america doesn't pay taxes at all, seems legit.

the reality is, the people who can most afford to pay taxes, pay the least amount of it.

All the bafflegab and dodging aside, and as I said, communism cannot even work a little bit in any society bigger than a commune (and even then I bet it does not last indefinitely).
I asked to see a communist country that has been successful. The hapless ditherer, harpercons, replies with some nonsense about them being invaded by other countries militaries. China has been "communist" since 1949. No-one has tried invading it since then.
No-one has tried invading Viet Nam since the Americans half a century ago so it has had plenty of time and chance to become communist. But it has its authoritarian gov't and the hierarchy while regular folks are not so well-off. Same for Cuba and others.
A communist country cannot protect itself from outside influences. Therefore, it will fail. Communism fails.
So whine about capitalism all you want, it is still better than the feeble efforts of communism. At least more than just the elites can live comfortably.

the reality is, the people who can most afford to pay taxes, pay the least amount of it.
Fiction. Find something worthwhile reading that supports that ridiculous comment, please.

I've been trying to convince my brother of that. (He may be an ex disgruntled Dipper supporter) :)

You might amend that to some people who can most afford................................................

with poverty rampant across the world with no signs of improvement we can easily deduce capitalism does not work. then again, that would be assuming the intention of capitalism is to eradicate poverty (many capitalists claim this).

China isn't communist in any way.

The communists in North Vietnam were successful in defeating America and the american-backed south Vietnam government. You know what kind of feat that is for a tiny country to defeat an imperialist power that dropped so many bombs people are still being killed by unexploded ones to this day? The key to that success was the amount of support the North had from the Vietnamese people.

Cuba has had amazing success when you consider their circumstances, it's quite remarkable.

This is the thing, Capitalism is not responsible for us living relatively comfortably here in the developed countries over which our bourgeoisie masters rule. It was the protesting and fighting by socialists, communists, anarchists, labour unions etc, which forced better working conditions and other reforms in order to improve our standard of living. We would most certainly still be working 15-17 hour days for peanuts had better conditions not been fought for in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Fiction. Find something worthwhile reading that supports that ridiculous comment, please.

Your own source points to corporations not paying enough and ways they try to pay even less in taxes. and it's only talking about income taxes.

As someone from the U.K pointed out and no doubt applies to America as well
"The poorest 10% are forced to spend all of their income to live. So VAT would make up a larger portion of their tax. The richest 10% don't have to spend all their money and can put into avoidance schemes and tax free savings"
