That is the typical US war, why promote it as news. You may not have noticed but the EU is siding with Russia which means they are abandoning the US/NATO war machine.

EU’s Deepening Ties With Russia Result of 'Putin’s Sophisticated Diplomacy'

Let's hope they have better success than they did in Afghanistan.......
It is the US that ignores the lessons of the past.
Kremlin Rules Out Syria Ground Operation

This Afghanistan???
How Jimmy Carter and I Started the Mujahideen
Q: The former director of the CIA, Robert Gates, stated in his memoirs [“From the Shadows”], that American intelligence services began to aid the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan 6 months before the Soviet intervention. In this period you were the national security adviser to President Carter. You therefore played a role in this affair. Is that correct?
Brzezinski: Yes. According to the official version of history, CIA aid to the Mujahadeen began during 1980, that is to say, after the Soviet army invaded Afghanistan, 24 Dec 1979. But the reality, secretly guarded until now, is completely otherwise: Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention.
Q: Despite this risk, you were an advocate of this covert action. But perhaps you yourself desired this Soviet entry into war and looked to provoke it?
Brzezinski: It isn’t quite that. We didn’t push the Russians to intervene, but we knowingly increased the probability that they would.
Q: When the Soviets justified their intervention by asserting that they intended to fight against a secret involvement of the United States in Afghanistan, people didn’t believe them. However, there was a basis of truth. You don’t regret anything today?
Brzezinski: Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter: We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war. Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.
Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic [integrisme], having given arms and advice to future terrorists?
Brzezinski: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?
Q: Some stirred-up Moslems? But it has been said and repeated: Islamic fundamentalism represents a world menace today.
Brzezinski: Nonsense! It is said that the West had a global policy in regard to Islam. That is stupid. There isn’t a global Islam. Look at Islam in a rational manner and without demagoguery or emotion. It is the leading religion of the world with 1.5 billion followers. But what is there in common among Saudi Arabian fundamentalism, moderate Morocco, Pakistan militarism, Egyptian pro-Western or Central Asian secularism? Nothing more than what unites the Christian countries.

There was no fear anymore’: The tiny pill fuelling Syria’s war and giving fighters superhuman energy

The al-Qaida veterans, hardened Iraqi insurgents, Arab jihadist ideologues and Western volunteers in Syria and Iraq are fuelled by an overlapping mixture of ideologies and political agendas. But experts suspect they’re also powered by something else: Captagon.

A tiny, highly addictive pill produced in Syria and now widely available across the Middle East, its illegal sale funnels hundreds of millions of dollars back into the war-torn country’s black-market economy each year, likely giving militias access to new arms, fighters and the ability to keep the conflict boiling, according to
the Guardian.

“Syria is a tremendous problem in that it’s a collapsed security sector, because of its porous borders, because of the presence of so many criminal elements and organized networks,” the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime (UNDOC) regional representative, Masood Karimipour, told Voice of America. “There’s a great deal of trafficking being done of all sorts of illicit goods — guns, drugs, money, people. But what is being manufactured there and who is doing the manufacturing, that’s not something we have visibility into from a distance.”

A powerful amphetamine tablet based on the original synthetic drug known as “fenethylline,” Captagon quickly produces a euphoric intensity in users, allowing Syria’s fighters to stay up for days, killing with a numb, reckless abandon.

“You can’t sleep or even close your eyes, forget about it,” said a Lebanese user, one of three who appeared on camera without their names for a BBC Arabic documentary that aired in September. “And whatever you take to stop it, nothing can stop it.”

“I felt like I own the world high,” another user said. “Like I have power nobody has. A really nice feeling.”
“There was no fear anymore after I took Captagon,” a third man added.

Captagon has been around in the West since the 1960s, when it was given to people suffering from hyperactivity, narcolepsy and depression, according to a Reuters report published in 2014. By the 1980s, according to Reuters, the drug’s addictive power led most countries to ban its use.

France "officially" declared war on ISholes which then triggered the EU Mutual Assistance Act being envoked which means the EU is at war with the ISholes.

Me thinks you are being lied to about where they are produced, for obvious reasons.

Turkey Seizes 11 Million Pills of 'Syria War Drug' — Naharnet

The Turkish authorities have seized close to the Syrian border a record haul of almost 11 million pills of the synthetic stimulant drug captagon which is believed to play a crucial part in Syria's civil war, reports said Friday.
Anti-narcotics police confiscated over 10.9 million pills weighing almost two tonnes in two separate raids in the Hatay region on the border with Syria this week, the official Anatolia news agency and Hurriyet daily quoted the interior ministry as saying.

Large quantities of the drug are also illegally smuggled abroad, with Saudi Arabia a major market where the authorities repeatedly report seizures.

France "officially" declared war on ISholes which then triggered the EU Mutual Assistance Act being envoked which means the EU is at war with the ISholes.
Pretty obvious why they didn't approach NATO with the same request.

Looks like it will be a long weekend for ISIS.

Right, where they are getting the drugs from is so much more important than that they are getting the drugs and those drugs are further fueling a bunch of demented whack doodles.

What are you on man? EU is part of NATO.
Russia is part of Europe but not part of NATO. That means they are basically asking Russia for their help and leaving NATO members sitting on the sideline. Pretty much spells the end of NATO. Canada and the US will be the only members left.

Muslims don't do drugs, are you aware of that? The whackos are financed and equipped by the same Nations that supply the drugs to them. Want to take a stab at who that might be???

Apparently, Daesh partakes and in very large quantities...........last I heard they most certainly are Muslim.
How about Muslims who don't practice the religion, sort of like false Christians or are you promoting that the pedo Priests of the RCC are practicing the Christian faith as it is spelled out in the Bible? The drugs would be more in line with British Muslims that Syrian Muslims.

Muslims do drugs. Just because they aren't suppose to does not mean they don't. The louder one yells about not doing something the more they are doing that very thing. Psych 101

This is war for them. They believe they are doing it for the glory of Allah. Why wouldn't they take every measure to assure themselves the victory they believe their god wants?

Considering that I was replying to the news that Daesh specifically are doing drugs, what other Muslims, Christians and even us Pagans are doing is really beside the point.

From what I've read there a few of them fighting with the Daesh so you could very well be right on that one.

uhuh The last I heard was that hashish and opium both were pretty popular in Muslim circles. And lately, Syrians have increased pot usage.

So why don't all Muslims get high as a kite for a lifetime? Even Christians know that the Bible doesn't promote anything more that wine, and that is in moderation.
You do know that it is the same God for Jews, Christians and Muslims do you not??

uhuh The last I heard was that hashish and opium both were pretty popular in Muslim circles. And lately, Syrians have increased pot usage.
So potheads are now terrorists are they?? Got any clips of these Muslim opium dens you speak of??? Heroin (and pot) is found in Western cultures, when you going to round all of them up as being a danger?

The article promoted that the drug is produced in Syria for local consumption, that doesn't fit the facts that show it is imported to Syria specifically for the ISIS fighters that are working for the US.

I'm thinking the two stories are related rather than not. I thought it was because of ship launched missiles. Notice this is an supersonic with much bigger intakes for the engines so 2 might be ramjet design.

Civil Aviation Returns to Normal after Russia Ends Maneuvers — Naharnet

This is the most powerful interceptor aircraft in the world.
It has a crew of two, has an exceptionally long range, can fly at three times the speed of sound (faster than any other fighter aircraft in the world today) and can also fly supersonically for long distances (“supercruise”).
It also has exceptionally advanced and powerful radar and electronics, and carries extremely powerful missiles that are able to engage enemy aircraft at very long distances.
Its radar has a detection range against airborne targets of - it is believed - 320 kms and can track 24 targets simultaneously, allowing the aircraft to engage 10 targets with its missiles simultaneously.
The MiG31BM’s very long range, and its uniquely capable radar, electronics and weapons, makes it a rather more obvious escort for the bombers than the less capable - though more manoeuvrable - SU27SM.

Here is the latest explanation I've seen about the situation in Syria.

"SYRIAN CONFLICT EXPLAINED TO DUMMIES
President Assad [who is bad] is a nasty guy who got so nasty his people
rebelled and the Rebels [who are good] started winning.

But then some of the rebels turned a bit nasty and are now called Islamic
State [who are definitely bad] and some continued to support democracy [who
are still good].

So the Americans [who are good] started bombing Islamic State [who are bad]
and giving arms to the Syrian Rebels who are good] so they could fight Assad
[who is still bad] which was good.

By the way, there is a breakaway state in the north run by the Kurds who
want to fight IS [which is a good thing] but the Turkish authorities think
they are bad, so we have to say they are bad whilst secretly thinking
they're good and giving them guns to fight IS [who are bad] which is good
but that is another matter.

Getting back to Syria. President Putin [bad, as he invaded Crimea and the
Ukraine and killed lots of folks including that nice Russian man in London
with polonium] has decided to back Assad [who is still bad] by attacking IS
[who are also bad] which is sort of a good thing?

But Putin [still bad] thinks the Syrian Rebels [who are good] are also bad,
and so he bombs them too, much to the annoyance of the Americans [who are
good] who are busy backing and arming the rebels [who are also good].

Now Iran [who used to be bad, but now that they have agreed not to build any
nuclear weapons and bomb Israel who are still probably very bad which is
good] are going to provide ground troops to support Assad [still bad] as are
the Russians [bad] who now have ground troops and aircraft in Syria. [which
is good]

So, a Coalition of Assad [still bad] Putin [extra bad)] and the Iranians
[good, but in a bad sort of way] are going to attack IS [who are bad] which
is a good thing, but also the Syrian Rebels [who are good] which is bad.

Now the British [obviously good, except Corbyn who is probably bad] and the
Americans [also good] cannot attack Assad [still bad] for fear of upsetting
Putin [bad] and Iran [good / bad] and now they have to accept that Assad
might not be that bad after all compared to IS [who are super bad].

So Assad [bad] is now probably good, being better than IS [no real choice
there] and since Putin and Iran are also fighting IS that may now make them
good. America [still good] will find it hard to arm a group of rebels being
attacked by the Russians for fear of upsetting Mr Putin [now good] and that
mad ayatollah in Iran [also good] and so they may be forced to say that the
Rebels are now bad, or at the very least abandon them to their fate. This
will lead most of them to flee to Turkey and on to Britain, Germany & the
rest of Europe or join IS [still the only constantly bad group].

To Sunni Muslims, an attack by Shia Muslims [Assad and Iran] backed by
Russians will be seen as something of a Holy War, and the ranks of IS will
now be seen by the Sunnis as the only Jihadis fighting in the Holy War and
hence many Muslims will now see IS as good [duh!].

Sunni Muslims will also see the lack of action by Britain and America in
support of their Sunni rebel brothers as something of a betrayal [might have
a point] and hence we will be seen as bad.

So now we have America [now bad] and Britain [also bad] providing limited
support to Sunni Rebels [bad] many of whom are looking to IS [good / bad]
for support against Assad [now good] who, along with Iran [also good] and
Putin [also, now, unbelievably, good] are attempting to retake the country
Assad used to run before all this started?

This should clear it all up for you. Just so you know, I am not taking any
questions on this subject !!!!!!!!!"
