This is in the Quran 6: 19, which means:

{Say [Mohammed to these unbelievers]: "What thing a bears a most serious witness [: words of God or words of people? For God knows better than people about everything]"

Say: "God is a Witness between me and you [that He has sent me to you, and His words: the Quran, testify that I am God's messenger to you];

and this Quran has been revealed to me to warn you therewith [of God's punishment if you do not believe and abandon the idolatry]; and [to warn] anyone reaching [his age of adulthood.
b]}
..........................................................

a Some commentators of the Quran said:" There is in this aya an indication that God may be called a 'thing'."
I say: This is not allowed, because the word شيء or thing, means the matter, and God is Superior to the matter; God said in the Quran 42: 11, that means:
(There is not, as His likeness, anything [material or spiritual]; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.)

b i.e. and I warn all those whom the Quran reaches and they hear it: including all the adults responsible about their acts, from now till Doomsday.

The interpretation is by Mohammed-Ali Hassan Al-Hilly.

Another aya where God - be glorified - explained that it is the wrong-doers in fact that will go into Hell: As in the Quran
37: 22-24
[Then God – be glorified – will say to the angels:]
{ 22. "Gather those f who wronged [their people g] together with their wives [: the associaters] and [the devils] that they served [in the Barzakh world h],"
23. "apart from God, and direct them to the path of Hell." i

24. "And stop them; for they are to be questioned [concerning their followers.]"j}
..........................................................

f They are the chiefs and the leaders of the religions of falsehood.
g With deception, and who ordered them to worship the idols and barred them from worshipping the Most Gracious.
h i.e. the Afterlife.
i Know then that the punishment in the Fire is two kinds:
The first is in volcanoes, in the world of the Barzakh, i.e. the Afterlife following death.
While the second will be on Doomsday in the fire of Saqar, which is the sun that will attract our present sun after it is cut up into nineteen pieces.
As in His saying – be glorified – in the Quran 74: 27-30 that means:
(But can you imagine what Saqar is!?
It does not leave [anyone]; it does not spare [anything.]
It is [nowadays] looming to mankind.
Imposed upon it [the attraction of] nineteen [planets.]
)
As such when the sun tears up, it will be planets which will also have volcanoes, and such volcanoes will be the place of chastising the disbelievers and associaters.
j I say: This is not exclusively special for the past religious leaders, but it includes most of the contemporary religious scholars of our time, to whom God gave knowledge in their religion, authority on their followers and influence of their words.
And they see their followers associate with God, plunge in the darkness of ignorance and proclaim the disbelief, while the ‘ulama’ or religious scholars are silent about them: do not guide them to the correct way and do not forbid them from their disbelief and association, because they fear that their leadership and wealth may be lost, but they do not consider about their Next Life, neither do they hope for the reward of God.
If you say to one of them: “Why don’t you proclaim and expose the truth?” he will answer you: “I don’t do anything of that, or else people will hate me; and in fact I am not to be blamed for this, but the sin is of the one who invented such innovation and walked according to this program.”
So with such excuse, he thinks that he will be saved of God’s punishment, and he will not be taken to account about that.
I say: No, at all; the ‘ulama’ or religious scholars are responsible and will be questioned and the leaders will be detained.
For God – be glorified – said in the Quran 16: 25, which means:
(So let them bear in full the burden [of their sins] on the Judgment Day, in addition to some of the burden of those whom they lead astray [away from the truth] without knowing [about the consequence] – how evil a burden will they bear!?)

God Himself will deal with you.

what god? the one that only appeared to ignorant barbarians 1000's of years ago? The one that hasn't made an appearance here since then? OR the imaginary one in your head?

He ain't dealing with nothing and no one the proof of which is before you around you and all about you.

God never was, never is, and never will exist.

Many of the allusions to the children of Israel as exiles, captives in a foreign land, hostages and outcasts, are made during periods when the historical Hebrews were not in either the Egyptian or the Babylon-
126
ian or Assyrian captivities, and were not in any mundane sense exiles. Empedocles describes mortals as "Heaven’s exiles straying from the orb of light." In line with our thought are the words of the Christian Advent hymn:
O come, O come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here,
Until the Son of God appear.
Nor less grandly true are the lines of the "Gospel" hymn:
I’m but a stranger here;
Heaven is my home.
The various exiles, captivities and wanderings of the children of Israel were not historical. They were symbolic accounts of the descent of the twelve "tribes" of angelic spirits, "chosen" by the higher Lords in heaven to come to earth and divinize incipient humanity.

Well you have to impress the congregation with your elevated status and befuddle them with bullsh1t along with frightening the piss out of them all in aid of loosening thier purse strings. That is not religion it's a con job older than cheese. The real old stuff is delightful reading and mostly scribbled down in simple language. Where we came from and where we have to get to, that's the gist of it, all the bowing and scrapeing is no substitute for thinking the simple exercise of reason that's what the old people were into, natural philosophy, mans origin and purpose. The God likes cockroaches chickens and walruses, birds and trees fleas bumble bees and chickidees but it gave humans the intellect to eat from the tree of knowledge, that's all there is to it, excepting the few million or so pages of allegory.

Religion means, binding back, to the origin, our purpose here on earth is to remember who and what we are and where we were before our reluctant plunge into the material realm. I'm a believer who hasn't refined exactly what it all entails and I'm lazy, always looking for the short cut. There will be no peace on earth until all the Kings are strangled with the guts of the priests.

This is in the Quran 6: 19, which means:

To be quite honest I'm not sure if the topic of this thread has anything to do with anything. Has anyone ever found any D.N.A. of either Adam or Eve? :) :)

Heard this being discussed at a Christian condo in Scarborough. Anyway the speaker kept stressing the idea of the transitive property. Basically god made Adam from mud, God made Eve from Adam's rib, therefore God made Eve from mud as well.

I think tensions between the west and traditionally Islamic parts of the world have caused some to react hostility to minor differences between the bible and the Quran. To me this one seems especially silly.

By all appearances, no god made humans at all. EVIDENCE suggests that proteins and amino acids roosted here from bits of cosmic bodies and evolved into life. Perhaps a god invented those proteins and acids which resulted in life sprouting here but there is no evidence for that, so we simply do not know. Anyways, researchers have been able to reproduce that event by experiments with aminos and proteins in labs.

That is fior sure. There are lots of things I would prefer to remain ignorant about I am sure. Some of them it is too late and I learned of them. lol

Nothing wrong with not knowing certain things.

There'd be no mystery, no magic and no reason to continue on if we knew the answer to all the questions and had nothing left to be curious about. life would be mundane and boring.
