This past week after answering several calls that were from various political parties, I simply let all calls go to voicemail. I will be so very happy when this seemingly endless election campaign is done and dusted. I honestly don't know how Americans can stand the length of theirs. Off to vote this morning with two of my friends - all of us will be voting for different candidates.

How poor would be poor enough for you?

"Poor" has very little to do with it! Capable is what counts! How do you become capable? By persevering and being resourceful through tough situations, by depending on your own resources, by learning through past failures, by having only yourself to depend on, by being a fast learner and being able to project, by having a broad experience at various endeavours, etc. etc.etc. :)

You would think so, but the last few years have proven otherwise.

Well, he's outperformed the rest of the G7- that must count for something!

C'mon! Harper delegated jobs to his deputies and trusted them to do it right. They let him down.
People call him a bully yet you're suggesting he has no control over his staff, ;not 'let' his minions commit that many offenses?
doesn't sound like a bully to me. it sounds like an honest man who assumed his deputies would do the right thing.

The whole point is Harper either had no control over these people who were busy committing crimes which means he is a bad leader with no judgement and isn't fit to lead the country. Or he was in complete control and not just knew but directed all the criminal activity which means he is a sociopathic criminal and not fit to lead the country. Take your pick.

Now we have that cleared up I will be ok if he gets a minority govt because I don't think Trudeau is qualified, he is too young with no experience and his handlers would be running the show. I also do not trust Mulcair as far as I could throw the city of Ottawa. He is from PQ and I will never vote for a Quebecer to have control of this country.

We're certain hearing lots of comments from people who have never done his job. I seem to recall an old adage about "walking a mile in the other man's shoes"..............must be getting to be a lost art. :) :)

Jen Gerson: Worst. Election. Ever. | National Post

I think Jen Gerson has it pretty well pegged. Except for a few vague promises we really have no idea what Jr. and Mulehair are really going to do and worst of all we have no clue as to how much and how they are going to do it. I think Harper just plans to carry on with the status quo!

So we can get f*cked over in the same old way we have for 10 years or we can get f*cked over in some wild and wonderful new ways we don't know about yet. At least we are a 'democracy' and have a choice of 3 different shapes of d*ldo to take up the a$$. 8O:lol:

How much control did Jean Cretian have over bags full of Canadian taxpayer monies changing hands in Montreal restaurants ? Are the masters of that plan still pulling the strings of the present LPC leader ?

Every one of our Prime Ministers have been lawyers with two exceptions: Alexander Mackenzie was an Engineer and Steven Harper is an Economist.

If Justin is elected, he will be the first one with an Arts degree in Underwater Basketweaving.

Just finished voting and of course I VOTED CONSERVATIVE!!!

Now for the election results tonight..

You might be pleasantly surprised. The older voters still have a vivid memory of P.E. Turdeau.

I've asked dozens of people and have never yet got a specific answer - just things like "he screwed the Vets". :)

Dude, I'm living in Ontario which is depressing in itself, also Ontario pretty much decides the election in Canada, by the time it gets to Alberta and BC they just cancel each other out... Like my vote and my Sisters vote.. Cancelled each other's vote out.

Now in Vaudreuil, PQ sitting here waiting for a tire repair guy.. Tire blow out... Figgin Sucks

I've listed a few things on the pages at CC. Not doing it again. You either believe Harper is corrupt and f*cking the citizens or you think he is the second coming of Christ. Experience tells me I will not change your mind with a mountain of evidence proving either to be true if you believe the other. Not worth the time and effort to try.
