Have you thought about unplugging the phone
Why the hell should I? Do you pay car insurance to not drive your car?
Do you pay for internet so you can stay off-line?
Besides, it's not like I answer it. There's a nice banner display at the bottom of my TV screen whenever my phone rings. I can send a call to voice mail if I don't feel like answering.

It's the point that A) Calling 4 times in less than 2 weeks is excessive. Especially, as I said, they were told they have zero support in this household the first time they called.
And B)Calling on a Sunday is ignorant. Calling before noon on a Sunday is bullshyte.

Can't argue with you.

Just a point to think about though....it's not like there is an IQ requirement for politicians or their henchmen.

I wonder how many are lawyers?

Every one of our Prime Ministers have been lawyers with two exceptions: Alexander Mackenzie was an Engineer and Steven Harper is an Economist.

If Justin is elected, he will be the first one with an Arts degree in Underwater Basketweaving.

Well, I'm certainly glad to hear he's competent at something, as it's really starting to look like he could be Prime Minister, IF the figures are to be believed. It certainly doesn't coincide with my vision of Canadians.

Really? The majority have been lawyers? Hmmmm.... that's a very interesting fact.

I personally loathe the Liberals but I am just 1/36,000,000 the of the place.

I don't loath the Liberals per se, they are just another version of the Conservatives- a free enterprize party. What does upset me a little is deliberately voting to go into debt, lead by a person whose never accomplished anything on his own, has no experience having to scrounge and scrape to make a buck & was raised with a platinum spoon in his mouth. What's he going to do when the going gets tough? Run to Mummy?

So you are looking for a union guy who knows what working for a living is all about. Do you think Harpo ever did an honest days work?

Certainly not within the realm of setting chokers or pulling boards off the green chain (actually I haven't either but I have done lots of work of equal exertion) He is however an economist which should put him in good stead for good fiscal management. He also has nine years experience. Actually I like Steve- what you see is generally what you get! P.S. I'm not terribly big on Unions.

Careful cliffy, you are showing your ignorance again with comments like that.

Don't want to piss on your parade, Cliffy, but to be frank I believe the "election fraud" was one or at the most two cases of his minions pulling a fast one unbeknownst to Harper. One of them went to jail. Was the census not something to do with the number of questions on the form? I believe he was responding to a bunch of complaints about him being too nosy, Non? I've found thoughout his tenure most of the criticism (not all) was "making mountains out of mole hills".

Come on bud....I know your old but you aren't senile yet ;-) Every case of fraud or corruption has led straight to the PMO where one of his closest advisors or deputies has taken the bullet. Either he knew and helped plan it or is the most clueless PM in history with NO control over his staff. Given the way he runs the party with an iron fist I have to assume it's the former. If it is the latter then we should all be voting for a new guy because someone who is dumb enough to let his minions commit that many offenses shouldn't be in control of a pre-school playground let alone our country.

You can't suck and blow at the same time Nick. You know as well I that anytime one of the minions has transgressed Harpers rules, he's come down hard on the transgressor, I'm bad at remembering names but there's been enough examples like Bev Oda, Duffy, Pamela Wallin, and Helena Guergis, where Harper has come down on them like a ton of bricks. So which is it, he's an A$$hole for being tough on them or he's an A$$hole for letting them get away with sh*t? What did he let Nigel Wright get away with? Do you really think Nigel thinks he was allowed to get away with sh*t? Do you really believe that Jr.'s caucus is going to be any better behaved. I never heard of Harper's crew smoking pot on the job. Do you think Jr.'s crew will adhere to the same high standards?

C'mon! Harper delegated jobs to his deputies and trusted them to do it right. They let him down.
People call him a bully yet you're suggesting he has no control over his staff, ;not 'let' his minions commit that many offenses?
doesn't sound like a bully to me. it sounds like an honest man who assumed his deputies would do the right thing.
