And huge parts of britain live under sharia law.
Which parts?
I see a distinct relationship between the number of guns and the amount of freedom.
Britain is a freer, more democratic country than America.
Big deal.
Knife crime in England and Wales up for first time in four years | UK news | The Guardian
Metropolitan police say knife crime up 18% in London | UK news | The Guardian
So, the UK criminalises knife possession. And look what happened: U.K. Criminalizes Knife Possession; Result? Knife Violence Increases
London - Population: 8.6 million. Number of murders committed in London in 2014: 93.
New York City - Population: 8.4 million. Number of murders committed in New York City in 2014: 190
Chicago - Population: 2.6 million. Number of murders committed in Chicago in 2014: 244
Baltimore - Population: 621,000. Number of murders committed in Baltimore in 2014: 138
Milwaukee - Population: 595,000 (over 14 times smaller than London's). Number of murders committed in Milwaukee in 2014: 59 (not far off half the number in London, a much, much bigger city)
Toronto - Population: 2.6 million. Number of murders committed in Toronto in 2014: 79 (just 14 less than London despite being around a third London's size)
In Canada in 2009, there were 610 murders.
In the United States in 2009, there were 13,636 murders.
In the UK in 2009, there were 626 murders, of which a grand total of 39 - just 39 - were caused by guns.
The UK's population is around twice that of Canada's and around a fifth that of the US, yet the number of people murdered in the UK in 2009 was almost exactly the same as Canada and almost 22 times less than the number of people killed in the US in the same year.
All in all, when it comes to my chances of being murdered, I thank God that I live in Britain and not the US or Canada.
