We told ya.
Niqab ruling to be appealed to Supreme Court, Tories say - Politics - CBC News
Conservatives doubled down on their position that women should not wear face coverings during citizenship ceremonies, saying the government would take the matter to the Supreme Court, while vowing to reintroduce the niqab ban within 100 days of re-election.

On Tuesday, the Federal Court of Appeal dismissed the government's appeal of an earlier Federal Court ruling that declared the ban on face coverings at such ceremonies was unlawful.

I am well aware that conbots will keep banging their heads against a wall to appease their retarded base.

Have some respect for the mentally challenged. They are more intelligent than the average conservative voter.

It's what we call a right wing position.

Actually, it is called a wingnut position.

Very glad to hear that the government will appeal the lower courts decision and I hope they win.

They won't and you will still look like a fool.

There is absolutely no justifiable reason for the ban.

I'm sorry, but if you don't want to show your face during the Oath to become a CANADIAN citizen, then I don't really think you should be allowed to become one in the first place. The same goes for a Driver's License and other photo ID.

Of course there is.

It's just a fukking oath.

It means as much as eating maple syrup and watching hockey.

I see, so ones word means nothing.

IF, it is "just a fukking oath", then becoming a Canadian citizen really isn't that important to them. With that being the case, then they can just fuk right off back to where they came from.

It's an antiquated ritual.

It's like putting your hand on a book to prove you are going to tell the truth.

Then obviously she doesn't think very highly of Canadian citizenship or being a Canadian.

As a Muslim mother who never saw a niqab when I was growing up in Karachi, Pakistan, I am astonished to see Canada’s judiciary caving in to Islamists who have nothing but contempt for Canada’s values of gender equality.

I write this as a Muslim Canadian who does not have any specific political leanings.

But in the 25 years I have called Canada home, I have seen a steady rise of Muslim women being strangled in the pernicious black tent that is passed off to naïve and guilt-ridden white, mainstream Canadians as an essential Islamic practice.
