i don't think there is any underground economies going on,seems to be alot of grass around and it is easy to find.

Actually there is to both your erroneous assumptions. There is a huge underground economy particularly with small businesses. Especially in construction and small shops of all kinds.
There is a place on the tax for for growing pot. It is called farm income. A friend of mine escaped serious penalties foe growing because he had declared all his income and expenses as farm revenue because he was trying to get farm status on his land. Had to cut revenue Canada a cheque for 15G and that was it.
