Careful. He might be one of Walter's buddies.

I don't think anyone mentioned the other really bad thing the guy did that's not befitting a Conservative candidate................. He neglected to wash his hands after 'going to the bathroom'. :)

He's flipping burgers at a stump rally, right now somewhere, as we type!

For better or worse, I'm pretty old but that idea has not once entered my thought process let alone following through it. Wow.
A goldfish in our grade 8 English teacher's tea was about as bad as it got. (blackleaf english at that)

Here is how far the 'West' has advanced.

The anxiety of the anti-Harper crowd in this forum is palpable to an amusing degree from the number of threads started by the usual suspects

It's not a matter of hate but a matter of astonishment/amusement.

Sort of like when a right wing radio host I was listening to one day wondered why Jon Stewart seemed to centre out right wingers the most.

Yes he actually wondered that and the answer is simply they provide the entertainment by the things they say and do........

Conservative candidate Jerry Bance was caught on CBC-TV's Marketplace in 2012 urinating in a homeowner's coffee mug and dumping the contents into the sink.

Bance, the Conservative candidate for the battleground Toronto riding of Scarborough Rouge Park, has been a service technician for the last 25 years. He owns and operates XPress Appliance Service, an appliance repair company in the Greater Toronto Area.

In 2012, Bance responded to a service call at a house where Marketplace had hidden cameras set up as part of an investigation into the skills and ethics of home repair service companies.

The cameras caught Bance urinating in a coffee mug and then dumping the contents into the kitchen sink while the homeowner was in the next room.

"I deeply regret my actions on that day. I take great pride in my work and the footage from that day does not reflect who I am as a professional or a person," Bance said when contacted by CBC News for comment.

Bance has run for the Conservatives twice before, in 2006 and in 2008.

Conservative Leader Stephen Harper is poised to campaign in Scarborough on Monday. Bance is not scheduled to be with him.

Surely to God the riding association can come up with better quality candidates than that?

It bodes ill for our future if all that we can attract into our political leadership are the third and forth stringers like this guy.

In order to run for the Conservative Party, you have to separate yourself from your conscience and the wishes of your constituents and blindly follow Harper. There aren't a lot of competent, capable people willing to do that. The same thing happened to the Liberals under Chrétien. There's simply an exodus of quality individuals from any party that is run like a dictatorship

And even better that he was running as a Conservative so we can laugh even harder at his departure.

Conbot
Defined in Canada in 2009-2010 to describe Conservative party supporters who blindly (like robots) support the dictums and policies of the current Conservative leadership.

These are persons who repeat catch phrases, simplistic policies without defending them with analysis or justification. They tend in droves to news web sites where they comment en masse to castigate opposing views without argument or defending their policies, using repetition and slurs to make their case.
Most Canadian Conservative cabinet ministers are Conbots. Everything for them is scripted by the Prime Minister's Office.
Ah, so the ideological opposite of a left-tard except for minor variations in tactics. Like in the CBC comments section where anyone who even remotely disagrees with some left-tard is automatically labeled a conbot. It's funny really, watching left-tards call out the conbots while ignoring their own gross hypocrisy.
