Next month in Toronto, I’m training a global force of climate visionaries. Apply now: http://ow.ly/OloPi

Attend a Climate Reality Training with Al Gore

July 9-10: BECOME A CLIMATE REALITY LEADER

The Climate Reality Leadership Corps training in Toronto, Canada, which will be held July 9-10, will bring together a select group of individuals committed to addressing the impacts of climate change and implementing the solutions that will define us to future generations. This training is an opportunity to join a global network of leaders committed to solving the climate crisis.

Over the course of two days, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from experts who will share information about the science behind the climate crisis as well as their experiences educating and engaging diverse networks and communities. You will also have the chance to connect with a group of extraordinary leaders from a variety of sectors and countries around the world.

"Life changing," "re-affirming," and "empowering" are just some of the ways past participants have described their experience. Come as a leader, leave as a Climate Reality Leader.

Session Topics and Speakers

Speakers

During the training, you’ll hear from The Climate Reality Project Chairman and founder, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, as well as world-class scientists, strategists, communicators, and technical specialists about the science of climate change and the direct cost impacts are having on communities around the world. Most importantly, you’ll learn about the solutions that are available today. You will also learn a twenty-first-century skillset in storytelling, public speaking, social media networking, and media engagement from successful grassroots organizers who will share best practices for positive impact.

The Climate Reality Leadership Corps training will bring together scientists, non-profits, civil servants, and policy-makers to craft strategies and action plans towards a sustainable future for Canada, the North American continent, and around the world.

Topics

The Canada training will cover topics such as:

  • Climate Science
  • Solutions for the climate crisis
  • Effective communications skills
  • And more

No mention of cost. Or how much fossil fuel one is permitted to burn getting there. Wouldn't want to see a thousand private jets lined up at Pearson .

I was watching TV the other day - not much on as usual, but I happened on a channel that had this dude talking about climate change and what we might do to stop it. He was mentioning the use of chemicals and other crap to stop the change. All I know is that he scared the crap outta me because of, what he thought, would be activities we could do to stop the climate change. Start messing around with mother nature and who knows what you'll do.

Pollution is one thing - that we can address - climate change - always has and always will and some a-h standing in front of cameras saying we should be using various chemicals to stop the change just is totally NUTS!! These guys are dangerous!!

What scares me is those who go to any lengths to run down one political group in favor of another. I have facebook friend who posts crap about Trudeau as if he's God, and whichever way the political winds are blowing that day anyone who is not Liberal is the anti-Christ. If Mulcair is rising then he is today's Satan. If a poll comes out showing Harper getting stronger then he's the nation's axe murderer of the day.

Same around here. Idealogue central.

Since when do scientists and researchers qualify as a political group?... Kinda defeats the idea of unbiased objectivity if their 'science' is hitched to a political agenda.

PS - the 'cult' you refer to in terms of the genetics researchers aren't attempting to craft a global tax regime to further their cause... A wee bit of a difference there, dontcha think?
