Yeah. Who'd have thunk that you would die climbing up Mt Everest because of an earthquake, considering all of the other hazards up there.Everyone there knows the risks. Sooner or later something big will happen but the chances of it happening anytime soon are slim.
it's ironic really and one would have trained for it for months and months doing stuff like running straight up hill all out for lung conditioning etc...my god, when your number's up, you're done, doesn't matter where you are or what you're doingYeah. Who'd have thunk that you would die climbing up Mt Everest because of an earthquake, considering all of the other hazards up there.
There have been Tsumanis in the past that slammed the Outside of the Island there's evidence in the archaeological record-no such evidence exists here on the Inside-it can't happen.
Of course I expect waspish know nothings to argue the point especially if they've never seen the place or been on the ocean.
Nope. No risk at all...
When it starts shaking just sit under the rainbow and write poems.
what's the point in being concerned...life happens...be prepared for what you can and forget the rest
But if you expect life to continue you should get the Hell out of there, pronto! Once it starts it's too late- every bridge will become a "bottle neck"
Epic cluelessness on the part of the usual suspects noted.
So what got him then?My cousin used to live in Richmond.
If the east side of the Pacific Rift is being uplifted then wouldn't most of the water go towards the low side of the spreading, basically Japan would get hammered again. and the West Coast would be a tad higher.Seriously?? You backed yourself into a corner and won't give in.. even when the fact are presented??
Tsunami, Flooding, Storm Surge Would Wipe Out Richmond, Parts Of Metro Vancouver
I'll rent the garage off you.I wouldn't!
My cousin used to live in Richmond. His bedroom was on the second floor of his house. He hung a canoe outside his bedroom window so that he could just paddle away if the ground liquified from a quake and the house sank. Seemed logical to me. I would never live down there. The place is a trap, besides being an urban concentration camp with too much humanity.
