health care does not cover dental...dental care is separate...my OHIP card does not allow me to go to the dentist
however
tooth, mouth and gum health are tied to your over all health and well being
a doctor is not a dentist, and a dentist is not a medical doctor but they both work together to keep us healthy wealthy and wise

The procedure I had done, back in the 70's was covered, probably because it was done under general anesthetic in a hospital, not in the dentist's office,I thought Das just proved it!
Now they even do implants right in the dentist's office.....not covered by medical.
My wife had the similar thing done years later in the dentist's office....not covered
By the way, wisdom teeth done in the hospital back then....covered!
