Germns should have known long ago about the absence of consensus. Post & Kepplinger sent questionaires to German scientists they could see active in the field of climate science. They got about 130 responses. (Data summary PDF – in German) There is no consensus.

Climategate shows a public perception of 'that global warming is man made', and it has now become a 'new religion'. The Earth's climate has always fluctuated between getting warmer and colder. This was long before the industrial revolution. We must protect our environment, but not get swept along without questioning how to do it. The absence of the impact of Cyclical Celestial Phenomenon in the argument by the 'Alarmists' is in itself questionable. And whatever happened to predictions of a New Ice Age prior to 1975...... what we have now is a political agenda,placing a new global taxation system upon us all, and it is the poor that will have to pay for it.
