Bill Proposes Sentencing Women To Five Years In Prison If They Wear Yoga Pants In Public Three Times

Representative David Moore said introduced House Bill 365 on Tuesday in the House Judiciary Committee. He said the bill is in response to a group of nude bicyclists who participated in a group bicycle ride through the city of Missoula back in August.

The proposed bill would drastically expand the existing indecent exposure law to include any sort of expose of nipples – including men’s – or any clothing that “gives the appearance or simulates” buttocks, genitals, pelvic area or female nipple.

That means men can wear shirts with fake nipples, but women cannot. Neither can go topless for any reason – again, including men – and yoga pants that reveal the shape of one’s buttocks are completely prohibited.

Sounds a lot like .......

The Islam instructs both Muslim men and Women to dress in a modest way. For women clothing must cover the entire body, only the hands and face may remain visible (According to some Fiqh Schools).

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like palms of hands or one eye or both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron, etc.), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms, etc.) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband’s fathers, their sons, their husband’s sons, their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islâm), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigor, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful. ”[al-Noor 24:31]

the funny thing is that you here very little outcry from Republican supporters when one of their own tries to take away people's rights. These same folks are the first to condemn all Muslims for not being outraged when some of their own try to take people's rights. Clearly their issue is with religion and not freedom.

Although this GOP state representative is an idiot the OP posting a claim that wearing Yoga pants 3 times in public can send them to jail is just as idiotic.

They do? Why is LA Senza the most popular store at the Riyad mall.

Riyad... clearly that is a place that is out of the norm. They even have booze there.

I am doubtful you could go around Saudi Arabia wearing this.

They wear whatever they want under their pajamas.

Pajamas... meaning the clothing that covers just about all exposed skin?

My point was that this GOP state rep from Montana is indeed an idiot and yoga pants will not be banned in Montana. He was ridiculed and withdrew his asinine bill. It stemmed from some naked bike ride gathering they had up there and he was an idiot and clearly fired from the hip. And the bill did not propose that anyone can go to jail for wearing yoga pants in public. But many muslim countries are indeed restrictive on what women can wear and show in public.

Have you seen the women in MT? I'd consider a law too.

I'm not surprised you would think so. I think for most of us though, the politician trying to take away rights is far...far worse.
