Negotiate and setting the terms are two different things - a concept grasped nowhere by powers that be in the Muddled East
Western political aspirants. They all make the pilgramage to the holy hood for blessings.
On Israel as on so many files, Harper (fortunately) promises more than he delivers. After many years in office, he goes to Israel to make a strident speech but refuses to discuss Canada's current official policy on the Occupied Territories while there. If he disliked his own policy so much, why didn't he change it? This is the fiscal conservative who has run up big deficits, the international tough guy who has starved the military of funding, the lover of open government...you get the picture.
So his style is nasty but his content is not early as right-wing as one might have expected. If this is a revolution, it's a very slow one.
