Conservatives formed a majority with 41% I think.
Now, I live under a Congressional system, not a Parliamentary system, but I'm still pretty sure 50% +1 is a majority, and two or more parties cobbled together to get 50 + 1 is called a coalition.

You are correct, of course. I think the time has come for the President to be elected by direct, nationwide, popular vote. That's seats. Those numbers are for popular vote, which doesn't actually count. Not in your system or ours.

It's all about how thinly the winning vote spreads across each riding.
This makes the case for proportional representation, which would have a government in power that more accurately reflects the voters. PR would also prevent strategic voting, which is something the Ontario PCs suffered in the last election because everyone who was not Hudak went '**** that douchebag' and voted for Wynne even if she wasn't their first choice.
Oh yeah, when the right was divided in 90s there weren't any conservatives that supported proportional representation. No sir, not a one. And certainly there weren't any conservatives that supported proportional representation who then went on to be Prime Minister. Nope, that never happened.
Wyoming doesn't exist. It's just the sarlac pit Dick Cheney emerged from it. It's gets two senators like every other state, but if you actually counted it proportionally, you'd only get one vote for Satan.
As you know, sarcasm aside, proportional representation was a core plank in the Reform Party platform.
And did the liberals want it then???As you know, sarcasm aside, proportional representation was a core plank in the Reform Party platform.
Yeah....I agree.
.......
Hmmm...not quite as good today.
39.6% actually.
Now, with these new facts, let's review...........

Things looked pretty good for your boy back in July........
In five months the Liberals have lost 2.7 percentage points.
In five months the Conservatives have gained 3.9 percentage points.
Ten months to go.
hmmmmmmm.
Liberals now pulling away from Cons into majority territory??
WRONG.
