What is very sad about this situation is that people feel the need to go to such extremes to be heard or to prove their faith to their backward, knuckle dragging religion.

BTW, I forgot who posted the link to "Sky News Live" but that is an awesome channel. Really deals with World Wide News and issues.. thanks for that.

Sydney siege: commuters volunteer to ride by Muslims’ side
THE AUSTRALIAN DECEMBER 15, 2014 8:04PM
Print
AFTER a volatile day at both Martin Place and on social media, there are fears that Muslims could be targeted on our streets.

However a heartwarming hashtag has emerged on Twitter tonight, with hundreds of Australians offering to accompany Muslims to work tomorrow in case they don’t feel safe.

The hashtag #illridewithyou has begun trending on Twitter, with commuters volunteering to travel on buses and trains on transport networks across the nation’s capital cities.

Some offered to take the train or bus with worried Muslim companions, while others offered to give them a lift in their cars.

The hashtag is being widely praised as a way of combating racism and bringing Australians together.

You truly are stupid.. I like to drive truck, but it's not my degree. Driving truck allows me to get paid while travelling the USA and Canada..

If I'm not driving truck, I hope in my personal car and go for drives. I just love to drive.

Better then sitting behind a desk, watching 500 servers.

Your reasons for wanting to drive a truck are of no concern to me. I was merely pointing out the economic realities of doing so. I'm guessing you agree seeing as you didn't refute them

The extremists are those that want to push us into a corner, and convert us to their backward ideology. The extremists are those that would rather break the laws of the land, destroy property, and hurt innocent people, riot and attack law enforcement.

Bankers you mean and our owned politicians and the Diala Lama.

It's all over-now go and Get a Life.

Perfectly executed, just like the drill last summer.

Then is just showed your ignorance..

Let me give you an example.. XTL Transport pays $24.50/ per hr. Average hours per week are 62 hrs.

$24.50 X 40 hrs = $980.00

$36.75 X 22 hrs = $808.50

Weekly pay $1,788.50 X 50 weeks = $89,425

Some driver still pull in over $100,000 at that company per year..

..............................................

Here is a better example:

$1.10 per mile plus fuel charge. Average 3000 miles per week.

$3,300 per week X 50 = $165,000

Being I owned my own rig, that was my yearly income in USD.

My friend has 3 rigs running now..

This 2001 Freightliner Century run about $25,000 USD in Texas.. you can quickly add trucks and drivers to your fleet and make serious money in Texas.

You just can't run to California.. oh what a loss. NOT!! 55mph speed limit.

So you know very little about the trucking industry.

Why would I be learning... you forget, I have Duel Citizenship.. I can drive into the US to fill my car, buy groceries, basically get anything I need to live..

I'll be 50 blocks from the border, 20 minutes from the crossing.

I'm just sayin.... BC has a high variable cost of living and I do get that you can cross the border - I did once a week for cheap gas, booze, smokes and food.

That said, the borders are getting extremely busy all along the Washington border so when you start to calculate the time (that potentially could have been spent earning income), are you really any farther ahead?

Wouldn't you have to pick your times better..

Weekdays, mid hours when people are generally at work?? Abbotsford crossing??

Just saying.

Yea these $100000 a year jobs are kind of tough when everyone except you has one. SO how are things at the recycling depot?

Farm labourers around here get 25 plus a company vehicle. Plus it's cheap living. I'm not sure why you are impressed with 24/hr. That's what we pay our summer students.

Sure it is...

You can't PM me and harass me like you do to Goober, so you red neg -1 10 posts..

Now you're trying to "pretend" your some rich guy, but by the way you act, you're nothing more than a pimply face teen with a loud mouth that some day, some lucky fella will have the opportunity to shut with a knuckle sandwich.

However, if you're paying farm labor $25 + an hour, that explains why in Canada hour food is so high. In Texas they pay farm labor piece work and most are illegal, which would explain why I will be shopping in the USA for food and paying 36% cheaper prices.

US Citizens really don't understand the benefits of illegal labor.. if they lived in Canada and had to by groceries here, they would quickly see illegal labor keeps it cheap.
