Thats why no one will do anything about it. Opens them up to having to deal with people coming after them when they step down.

The parties never matter much except for a select few. Partisanship is a blind man's (or woman's) game.
And it's right that he does, and so do I. Putin and company will write the next historys. It's a wonderful time to be alive and watch an Empire fail, this will be two for me. The Chinese have done this before, lots of times, I think the planet will be in better hands.

The bigger lever of torture like this is to reach the wider audiance, torture is useless otherwise. None of these tortured people could have saved anyone. Everyone got the torture thing during and after the rape of Iraq. If you can torture someone, professonally, you,re not human. If you can condone it, you're not human. That's not to say I'm different, but those are the rules.
I just listened to Bill O'Reilly trying to rip and bully John McCain over his disapproval of torture. He failed. Miserably.

Palin was what made the election somewhat close, otherwise BHO would have won all 57 states.
She was too much of a loose cannon. He felt he needed the far right support she represented but she tended to speak off the cuff without much sober second thought which is always dangerous in a politician. She also was not the brightest bulb in the Christmas tree and combined with the speaking off the cuff, it killed her.
I think MaCain could have won the presidency with somebody else. But he was pretty much constrained by his party with the need for a far right candidate as VP. With that canidate (but not Palin) I think it would have been closer but still a defeat.
Personally, she made the campaign entertaining. Well, her and the SNL gal who did her.
And I think there are only 50 states. Are you telling me Obama has lost 7 states? Damn him.

and the antics of the CIA in this case. To state they did it to keep the land secure means
fear has replaced hope. And yes we have told the world we are a superior society and
then behave like those we condemn.
Of course the caught you're shot theme is the cry for total war. That of course means
the articles of war would be torn up in this case.
I think we should take the gloves off and show them just what resolve we have, we don't
need torture but there would be one hell of a pile of bodies to deal with.
